I have a small problem...
I have been playing Heroes IV for some time on my old
computer and liked it alot...and now to the problem.
I got a new computer a few days ago and I cant install the game.
This is my com stats
1. Asus P4C800 motherboard
2. 2.4 GHz 800Mhz Cpu NorthWood
3. Sparkle Geforce 4 5600 256Mb
4. Memorex X32 CD burner/reader
(the sound card is onbuild 6.1 dolby digital on MB)
I have the latest DirectX and Nvidia drivers
This is the error msg I get:
Install Engine has found an error and must be aborted
blablabla....... this is a translation from swedish so
the words are not exact.

and i not have problems wit programs and all games

Maybe the CD is scratched or maybe there's just a speck of dust where it shouldn't be or crap like that.

Just found out some new info on the install problem.
Think it is some conflict problem with the 3DO install
engine... Tried to install Heroes 3....same there.
Anyone know how to remove the greyed out fields when you try to change IRQ (the help files says to remove the check
mark but that is greyed too)

The chkreqs.dll file was the fault....find a few on my comp
and try to install...same problem...search the cd "one there
too" copied to the hard drive and deleted the file....
