wog bug?
ver.3.57f
i was playing "hot seat" games - 2 players on wogifayed SoD maps.
1st time: one of my two castle icons gone, but this both castles was ok.
2nd time: when my hero was in castle, after next turn, there in the same castle i found a clone of them, and his army, when i go away with both of them, the one gone, but after that another of my heroes icon gone, and he was standing with no possibility to move him, or click on him. he was like a "garnison" cause another hero can exchange with him, and nothing more...
what was it? a bug?

Actually, I doubt it's a WoG bug. Original Homm3, including SoD, do have some bugs, including disappearance of icons, cloning and others. For example I once unloaded my lv20 Gelu with hordes of sharpies and cool artifacts from a boat and lost his icon Though other heroes still could interact with him, but I couldn't select him Catherine twins also noticed in Armageddon's Blade...
Though I must admit that I haven't seen such bugs for wuite a long time already...

yeah, maybe you right. but i play with RoE AB & SoD many years without such a problems. and now after wog 3.57f installing found it a lot. i'am realy confused!!!
another example:
after attacking hero in castle & win, on flags is my red color, but in castle i see another blue hero, after attack, without battle he disapear... in near two new monster armies after 1st day of harpia week, after attack at screen many ERM script text windows... so i think that one is WoG error?
is there any list of the known wog bugs in ver.3.57f?

I gotta go with Kitten on this one. There are still some SoD bugs just waiting to be discovered. Like the Slowdown problem we had with WoG. All testers on the team thought it may be a script problem causing a massive slowdown. Slava did a little hard coding magic and fixed the problem somewhat. It was an SoD bug all along. The game is playing much better, and it seems in early testing that the AI has not reduced it's ability any.
In short, ALL WoG bugs can be fixed. But with WoG, SoD bugs are strangely magnified, which is good, because it can be reported to Slava and he'll do what he can to "finish" what 3DO could'nt. I know that Slava has already corrected quite a few SoD bugs as it is.

okey, so what is the chance to remove such a SoD/WoG bugs?
i mean this strange doubling/disapearing, etc. or i have to saving the game every turn in another name, making move in another way and praying for no bugs?!?
just SoD was a litlle boring and WoG is refreshing the game for me, but i just don't like bugs and hope is there any possibility for cure that.

About the only way you can get rid of SoD bugs is to get into the hard code and do a little maintenance to it. I'm sure someone can bring up the subject to Slava and ask him if anything can be done about it.

yup, when i see this "ERM error text windows" there was a error number and mail addres, but i was angry and ignore that. if i send this err.number it will help to remove such a bugs in future?
ok, once (boring) again: if it's normal to see such a bugs, so how often you all see them??? (i was playing WoG only one day and see 3 times.)

Remember WoG is a work in progress. We bring out new stuff and fix what we find broken. Slava has fixed a few SoD bugs in the past year. And he has a list of others to try to find and kill. Good thing is when WoG enhances one he finds it for sure because it is something he messed with that caused it so he can narrow it down. To make it easier on us if you all would report any bug you find here with how it happend what you did and even have a save before the bug to send me it will make Slava's job easier to catch and kill it. We listen to the fans and hope they send any bug they find to us so we can fix it. Now the cure may not be tomorrow but will come. We got a good bit of testers but to test everything and have a release in a timely manner is impossible. That is where you all come in. If we miss something let us know that is the only way it will be fixed We aren't 3do we don't charge to fix a peoblem and actually want to hear what needs fixed. Remember we are fans just like you and want to make a close as perfect Heroes as possible. You all like 3.57 wait till you see 3.58 a few bugs are gone and tons of new stuff comming. Mainly 4 new creatures and about 20 + new scripts. And 3.59 has a new thing for you that will blow you away

it's good for WoG team that are not 3DO, cause 3DO is dead now. i full understand the status of WoG, i don't want anybody [like in online service: "my game don't work!!! do something!!!"] to do my game cure, only wish to know:
1. how often playing the game you see bugs [4 me 3/day]?
2. what bugs are reported, and what don't have to be reported, cause are known.
3. what can be helpfull for wog from my side - i don't like to standing and only looking what others done.
i'll report my bugs.

I personally don't see bugs all the time and sometimes they just show up when they feel like it... For instance, one script we've been testing is a battlefield script. Everything is in place for the script,(pics, pic numbers, numerical choices) which should make it work with no problem. But there is a tiny problem and it's yet another one of those "obscure" bugs. The game is still fine but it's a bug nonetheless...another SoD bug. So they pop up when you least expect it.

No, it's not the "bug generator." I was just using this script as an example only. The WoG team has a different version than the one Arrow introduced some time ago, by the way. More true to terrain and special terrain than the one you may be using now.

No WoG will wogify any map you tell it to no need to convert it. But do not wogify a map with erm in it. A WoG map has scripts in them already and can cause all kinds of problems. I replied to your email so just send anything there.

it's my web-server with the WoG/HoMM3 bugs collection. I really don't know what to do with the screenshots, but.. see for yourself.
anyway; in the bug1-folder the jpg pictures are the same as the bmp, but take less space (faster DL for you). all except bug6 are showing if I attack the rogues. bug6 appears when right-clicking on them.
I have a buggy save too; will put it in the same folder.. I don't remember when the bug occurs, but it's the hero-portrait-vanishing bug at the same time as duplicating another hero... I think it happens if you enter the necro castle. we got past it by dismissing the "duplicating" hero.

Was it a wogified map (normal converted to WoG) or not? ERM errors are nothing special when it comes to fan-made scenarios; probably because every script needs a lot of testing.
The last bug (pic #6) is interesting - you MUST send it to Celestial Heavens and their "Picture of the Day" feature!

great deal of fun there. mission: beat Xyron and take his castle this round. you may not use town portal and dimension door only once (if there are any left).
a tip to success is in the screenshot in the tip directory.
the screens of the bugs are all from WoG-ified random-maps.

A strange bug happened to me to, it's probably happened before but when playing "The World is Not Enough" on the second day(I think) my hero and castle icons disappeared and my hero couldn't move. I'm pretty sure now though that its faulty scripting rather then a bug. But it seems to only happen in multiplayer.
