I don't know if you saw this in the other thread, but your sig had a few extra characters at the end of the url you posted to show the picture. It was something like <br%20>, and when I took it off the url, it took it to your pic just fine. That's probably why it hasn't worked.

Yes Wolfman, your signature had an additional five or so characters on the end. I went to properties and the url didn't work, so I took of the stuff in the wickets and it worked fine. I also posted that in the "This is Wild" thread.

Oh I see it now, but that doesn't show up in the url address bar on Internet Explorer, so how do I get rid of it?

Try and see if you can get it to work on the address bar, and if it shows up, copy it directly from the url bar into your img tags, and it should show up. If it doesn't, it's probably a scripting error, and that's beyond my reach.

I guess it must be a scripting error then...

The address leads to the picture now, but you might have your [ img ] tags misplaced or miswritten, due to the fact that you have an extra closing tag below your signature.
Let me test it:
EDIT: I can't figure it out, the url leads to the picture...

FYI
I could see neither Wolfman's sig nor Shadowcaster's repost until I went into the pic's properties and looked at it at its original location. Now I can see it in both posts above, too. So, if even if you two are seeing it, people who haven't checked out its properties may still not be getting it.
Maybe it's Geocities?

Yeah, I can see the picture's outline, but not the picture.
I did a little prying and noticed that, unlike Dingo's similar photo which does show up on HC, the picture size and type are both undefined on the host site in the properties toolbar. I don't know if that is of any significance or not.

Let's try this:
[Edit 3: gone]
That's on a webpage of mine. I think the free servers, like Geocites, don't like people linking up images, so they do stuff to prevent the links from working. But I'm not sure.
Edit: Is that working for everyone else?
Edit 2: Great, so Wolfman needs to find a different server. He can use the above until he finds one, but it will change or possibly go away completely when I graduate, so don't depend on it, please. )

That's the reason. Never thought you could do anything to prevent uploading, but then again, I'm still very much a novice when it comes to computers.

Quote: Well, since this seems to be graphics help thread, I might as well see if anyone can help me solve this little quandry:
I'm trying to take the little jumpers in my current signature and make them angry. This is my first attempt at using Microsoft GIF Animator, so the angry jumper animations have all the settings of the happy jumpers. I just changed the faces and put them back in. Here are my three results:

Problems:
1) Transparency isn't working. It's set and everything, but the background color still shows up. (This happens for my MS Paint GIFs, too. Conflict with Windows XP?)
2) White and black background have blurry/choppy animation, whereas the bizarre green background has smooth animation as in the original. Why won't black and white work?
Any ideas?
Edit: "quoted" the jumpers so the post wouldn't be quite as obnoxious-looking...
well i guess something of the type file u save it as... stuff gets messed up like trying 2 save a jpeg file as a bitmap just messes up the pic, try an see if you can get it on a server or site and c what happens...

For Geocities, just rename pics with .txt extension, and you'll be able to post them.

Just go to your Geocities File Manager, check the pic you wish, and rename it.
Just see properties of pic I posted.
