About those new creatures (once again)
Hello to everyone, I just joined here.
First of all Iīd like to say that wake of gods is totally f***ing great addon to homm3!
After reading all those previous new creature wishes,
I would like to send my own ones too:
*How about ghost riders?
they would be some kind of horses recoloured to white with ghosts mounted on their back. Could be a black horse with wight or wraith too.. For stats, they could fly and of course, be undead, no enemy retaliation suits fine too
*Some cavalry archers should be in the game, even though they have no tactical usage in combat. they would fit perfectly and not only because there wasnīt any in original game.
*small, red gargoyles, just like those you see in old games like heretic and hexen etc. but not for the tower people (maybe for dungeon).
Is it possible to make each castle have two types of commanders? in castle the other one would be priest, in necropolis it would be somekind of mummy lord (with ability to curse enemy), in inferno -hell baron-, in rampart -high elf or something-, and so on..
Other upgrades:
Paladin could cast destroy undead, with the name turn undead in its description
Also, Hell hydras could have unlimited retaliations, that making them harder to kill
Is there some way you could combinate scouting and pathfinding skills in one skill like outdoorsman? that eliminates uselessness of scouting and in addition you will get an empty skill slot for your own purposes

What's the difference between a grand elf and a high elf? And the mummies we already have in HoMM already look like they had high social status before death. Exactly how a mummy lord would be superior to those?

Iīm sorry for my lack of knowledge, Iīm not very well specialized in elves. But rampart heroes could have somekind archer commander, and that could be somekind of elf, i suppose. And what comes to mummies it is same to me if the commander mummy looks the same like normal ones, I just thought it could be with new name and graphics like the other commanders.

How about renaming it to bandage golem then?
And the elves... You could always try going with Drows. They are evil though and might not work out with a good town.

Actually in 3.58 that is 1 of the main goals to try to get done. There will be multiple commanders for each castle. Not sure if we will get it ready for 3.58 or not but is in the works. Will be in 3.59 for sure but shooting for 3.58 release.

Uh, Gan, I think you have the wrong idea here. Additional commanders for each town type HAVE been put off until a future release. What may come out with 3.58 is to have more than one commander with a hero on a battlefield.

Two more upgrade ideas:
-Commanders (all of them) should give troops some morale bonuses as in real life too. There could be a certain range in within the commander gives morale bonus to other troops, so that units who attack far away from the commander wonīt get that bonus. Donīt know what to do with necropolis units, since they canīt get morale bonus, but I bet there is some substitute for them. Only bad thing is that this could make the leadership skill less useful.
-Freelancers hired from the guild should move as fast as their combat speed is, since they are too slow now to reach enemy heroes.

but morale for necro doesn't mean anything so there will be luck bonus instead. or something else (like raising skeletons every turn )

Unknown at this time. We are still working out a few kinks and have a good bit of new stuff to add. Good news is that a long time bug has been squashed WoG will now run faster than before. Remember we are adding new scripts and killing bugs in old ones both take a good bit of time to do. Not to mention the new creatures we are adding. Rest assured we are working as fast as possible to get this done.
