I don't mind gay couples (as long as they don't bother me). Today I saw two lesbians kissing on a bench (they were so hot). As me and my friend was walking past them, they said: "Yes, we are lesbians!" But, if they weren't, I would surely ask one of them to go out with me (as I said, they were HOT). But, to bad

The Clue
The biggest clue is Baldur's Gate. I've only ever heard of people playing in America, Canada, Europe, Russia, Balkans, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, and Taiwan. He must be from one of these. We have ruled out many thus far.
edit: I say Romania!

Since when did people start killing gay people in America? I mean, I know not all people embrace homosexuality, but ...
Not to mention the fact that if he was living in Amarica, he probably wouldn't be learning English (!) and German.
Maybe we should move this to the Riddlemaster thread.

Ha ha no, it's not that important, it's just that the thread has turned into a guessing-game. By the way I'm impressed you stand up for what you are and what you want, even when you know that your friends don't like what they think that is.

I just had a very bad times and these are small things. I know that, no one rewarding differences in the world but blaming but at last i'll win against them . No pain no gain. Being different amongst the people is painful many times but i can feel that i'll have many things that others can't have. I wouldn't live if i had a life like theirs it'll be such a boring life.

Quote: Excuse me.. this is the thread about Gay people. Not God.
Religion and gay is actually very close as religion bashes gays.
Atleast most religion.
And baklava, I was talking about the bible-god here, not about the god your worshiping..
I really think it's annoying that there are like 1000-kinds of religions out there... it makes things much more complicated to explane.
Yes, most of the religions are against gays, because almost all of them are very ancient, and then, too many of them could stop the continuation to the human race.
Ancient nations with gays were disappeared. This why there aren't exsisting ancient nations with gays, today.
Today, when there's no danger that the human race will disappear, I have no problem at all with gays.
As I said, I believe that everyone should do what's good for him.
I see gays as totally normal persons, with different sexual preferring. That's it.
Today, there are too many people in the world. There isn't much space on Earth.
So I actually support large communities of gays, that might help the world avoiding from situation of population explosion.
I'm just trying to show you different points of view.
1000 years ago, gays were bad thing. Their exsistance destroyed old nations. In my opinion, today, they are good thing.
Everyone has his own opinion about it.
I just think that we all should be more opened to understand different points of view.
Usually, conservative people stick to their ancestors' point of view.
More 'modern' people go with their own believes.
I combine these two.
-I remember my nation's past. I believe that without knowledge and experience from the past, it's hard to move on to better future.
-However, I believe that I should keep on opened mind. Not everything from the past is relevant for the present.

Which are these ancient nation you speak of? I would be very interested, as the history books I read tell nothing about all of those nations getting destroyed because of gay-people.

lol
Interesting statement - never seen THAT one, but think it's comepltely untrue. From a statistical point of view, if about 10 % of the population will turn out gay, even if you have a nation as small as 100 people, it's highly unlikely that the amount of gay people will ever be big enough to threaten the continued existance of that nation.
I think the case is more simple, to give a quote:
Quote: For nobody would understand,
And you kill what you fear,
And you fear what you don't understand.

In the days of the bible (were no medications, back then), about 2 out of 10 passed age 40. This is just an example that might explain how hard was it to survive diseases.
This why the bible tells us to make a lot of children. That atleast one or two of them will be able to have their own children.
Back then, If you have 2 children, you won't have grandsons at all.
In those days, gays blocked the continuation of the human race.

Maybe you didn't see my post above, but I asked a few questions.. namely what are those nations that got destroyed because of gay-people like you state Quote: 1000 years ago, gays were bad thing. Their exsistance destroyed old nations.
And Quote: In those days, gays blocked the continuation of the human race.
.can you point to any evidence that supports this claim? Thank you.

Well, that might be. I guess the more interesting number would be how many of them lived to be 20, which was probably where they would have sired two kids, but no matter the number, there's no doubt that people perished much earlier, and many before the were born or during the childhood, thus cutting off the branches of the family trees.
But still, even considering that, I dont think that's the reason homosexuality was frowned upon. After all, the ancient Greeks had no problem with it. I think it's simply a question of customs and education - the less enlightened you are, the more sceptical you are likely to be towards something foreign. We even see that all too clearly in modern day society, though that's a slightly different discussion.
However, I'm positive that the main reasons why people disliked homosexuality wasn't that they were afraid of the race's extionction, but rather that they didn't understand it, and perhaps even were revolted by something they considered "unnatural". And when there's something you don't understand, better keep it at a distance, less it would do something you didn't want to you - who knows, maybe it was even contagious?
