Homm3 Grails you would have wanted!!!

Hello to everybody!
I thought of an idea about what grails would have you WANTED to have. Write your opinion about some of them or a short essay. Think of your own things, too. I think that it would fit. So let’s begin:


Castle: Holy Grail

Homm3 Grail Benefits:
Provides with five thousand gold + two billets of wood daily and increases base growth of creatures by 50%
Provides Marksmen an upgrade: Sharpshooters
All knights that belong to the army that has Holy Grail instantly gain “Basic Offence” and “Basic Archery”. Also, they gain an increase in attack by 2
All priests that belong to the army that has Holy Grail instantly gain “Basic Wisdom” and “Basic First Aid”. Also, they gain an increase in knowledge by 2

Homm3 WoG Grail Benefits:
Provides with five thousand gold + two billets of wood daily and increases base growth of creatures by 50%

Provides Zealots an upgrade: War Zealots

All rangers that belong to the army that has Forest of Perpetuity instantly gain “Basic Armorer” and “Basic Logistics”. Also, they gain an increase in defence by 2
All druids that belong to the army that has Forest of Perpetuity instantly gain “Basic Wisdom” and “Basic Resistance”. Also, they gain an increase in spell power by 2

Homm3 WoG Grail Benefits:
Provides with five thousand gold + two crystals daily and increases base growth of creatures by 50%
Provides Grand Elves an upgrade: Sharpshooters
Provides War Unicorns an upgrade: Nightmares
All rangers that belong to the army that has Forest of Perpetuity instantly gain “Basic Armorer” and “Basic Logistics”. Also, they gain an increase in defence by 2
All druids that belong to the army that has Forest of Perpetuity instantly gain “Basic Wisdom” and “Basic Resistance”. Also, they gain an increase in spell power by 2

Provides Arch Mages an upgrade: Enchanter
All alchemists that belong to the army that has Great Academy instantly gain “Basic Eagle Eye” and “Basic Ballistics”. Also, they gain an increase in spell power by 2
All wizards that belong to the army that has Great Academy instantly gain “Basic Wisdom” and “Basic Air Magic”. Also, they gain an increase in knowledge by 2

Provides with five thousand gold + two pots of mercury daily and increases base growth of creatures by 50%
Provides no upgrade
All demoniacs that belong to the army that has Root of All Evil instantly gain “Basic Fire Magic” and “Basic Scouting”

All warlocks that belong to the army that has Planet Core instantly gain “Basic Earth Magic” and “Basic Wisdom”

Homm3 WoG Grail Benefits:

So that’s all. I think my opinion fits here. I think that you all should write here too. It would be fun, if you do so
Oh, and send if I’ve done some mistakes. I’ll try not to make them anymore.

OK, some notes.

Argh! I had them Expert yesterday!
Seriously, your main hero should have it already, while your windmill heroes don't need it...
The same about many skills below.

They all have it already.
All magic heroes have wisdom at the beginning! (even battle mages)

Only if it doesn't wastes a skill slot.
The same about many skills below.

The same - I'd prefer Mercury. Although, here it's not needed as badly asd in castle or tower.
And, ALL Necromancers and Death Knights have Necromancy already!

Now to the serious things... I actually don't understand what did you mean in your first post. I haven't played the latest versions of Homm3 WoG too much so I don't know whether the grails have changed there. Please tell me: what those bonuses that you listed are? Are they already implemented in h3/wog or would you like to have them? If they already are in wog, then why do you call them so strange? AFAIR the names of the grail buildings in english homm3 is completely different, e.g. colossus in castle etc. If you would like to see it in homm3, then what prevents you from writing a script to implement all this new behavior? ERM allows such things to be done.

True, WoG allows such things, AFAIK. But then again I am not sure.

One thing is for sure, the grails inm the latest WoG are not changed

  And the list provided is unbalanced in many, many ways.

First the towsn that have no upgrades are clearly diasdfvantaged. In this repsect it seems that evil towsn stand noi chance, while the RAMPART has both SHARPSHOOTERS and NIGHTMARES. Now that is just too good to be implemented...

Yes but you didn't write down the normal grail and bonuses for Heroes 3 (i.e. Castle Grail bonus - Colossus) If you know it you should write it down if not i'd be more than happy to...

#1: I was once called an "awfully polite" person, by 1 mean guy (maybe a bit...) named Styq. So I thought that I would laugh at his word and name myself this way...

#2: Odvin, I do not know how to use my Script Editor wisely and without errors, because when I try to script a map, it is played with many errors. I tried to rename grails and to increase the effect, but it just doesn't work. That's why it would be cool if Mods of WoG just includes them, or writes correct scripts in a README file. That would be nice from their side.

Read the erm_help provided with WoG... It's the ultimate source of info about ERM. From there you can learn how to script, plus it's a great (and the only one) reference for ERM, almost complete.

To be honoust (spelling?) I can't help reminiscing them old grails (homm II) Where you got REAL bonusses for the grail.
Now you have to put it in your castle and (mind me if I'm wrong) many buildings aren't worth the trouble ...

Don't have the booklet here (lend it to a friend so he could dig himself into the world of HoMM - another victim )

But for example the baloon thingy in the tower... When do you get the grail, usually at a later time of the game.
And you need all the pilars so you probably walked the earth for them and saw a pretty thing of the world.

So I usually don't mind the grail. If I have it, it's off course a welcome help because of the money and the Cgrowth, but for the rest I don't really mind ...

Oh, and one more thing, giving skills to heroes stinks. Sorry, no offence, but I prefer to choose them myself.
I even don't like it heroes have starting skills...

The Grails should be improved. But at least you get a lot more creatures, but scince most grails are buildt in late-game, it doesn't really matter. Add some more recources to the gold is good though.

But giving the heroes skills? That sucks, even if most heroes are at high levels at Grail-time (often).

The gold income was good, the creature dwelling increase was good, and the town specified effect was good, but if it is the grail, it should have given resources such as sulfur, merc.,cry.,gems. As for your balloon thingy, are you talking about the H3 Tower grail? The skyship is what it is called and it reveals the entire map.
