Been a while since i have done this...
I liked heroes 4, it had some problems, but i thought it was pretty good. Heroes 5 looks to be one hell of a game though, even with the little amount of info released, im drooling already! I'm not sure what he means about the towns, i think that they are good already, no point messing with a good system. The sketches released show promise, although i believe a lot of work will need to take place before they are ready to go. But the 3d idea is looking pretty good. Heroes 5 will be a good game, and im looking forward to its release. However i dont mind if it doesn't come out for another year or so, the longer they spend the better it will be. In my opinion Heroes 4 was rushed, and i dont want to see that again.
P.S. Excellent thread HyDrA, i wouldn't no anything about H5 without it.

Hmmm... I think more things should be here. Update this info.
Though, I saw that MuadDib didn't explain things anymore. Maybe you should add something.
By the way, I would like to ask if there are more things to know about h5.

Judging by the horns and hoofs it more or less looks like a minotaur that went on a trip to one of the Asylums.

And about HOMM4 story, it rocked. Waaaay better than the usual "The evil ones want to conquer us so we need to fight them back" kinda story that has been in HOMM 3 or 2

The stories in H4 differed so much because we were seeing the beginnings of the new factions.
In the previous HOMM games we were pretty much aware of each factions ethos and where they stood in relation to one another.
Also with the new magic system these things needed to be explained -eg in HOMM3 the elves and wizards were 'good' and their armies could be mixed, whereas in HOMM4
they suffered morale penalties when mixed.
The HOMM4 stories were also very individual based rather than two nations at war-type scenarios.
Maybe they could have been a bit more dramatic, and had better linking scenes etc - but they weren't CRAP.
I'm hoping for storylines akin to the Gelu/Gem ones, where you played both good and evil factions and then fought against the heroes you made.
But I want a choice at the last scenario about who I want to play as - the good guys don't always HAVE to win

indeed I agree....
It was a nice feeling over H3 ...I just loved the feeling in H3 ,, H4 wasa big failure ,maybee the thoughts inteend to be good ,but but what to say ? wrong dimisions on the horse ,to big things (artifactts,chests and so on)
I thought it looked riducules out ,

i completly agree with Gondar.. i thought i was only one thinking heroes 3 had better feeling in it...
now i hope heroes 5 will be *addicting*, and not only pretty. sure, it's nice when it's pretty but i want to play it.. a long time.
somehow i got easier bored with heroes 4 than with heroes 3 or 2

I like the 'aura' of Heroes 2 most. I think it's my favourite computer game ever. I don't know why. But hereos III is darn good too. 4 was OK, but I got bored of it really soon :/

This one is to all you god damn ignorant people out there. The so called pictures theive shown us all, are just there to give everyone a clue how things are going to end up. They are nothing compared to the final product! They cant just show you real pictures of the models, mostly because other company's might steal the idea, and that is very likely, mostly because theres about a year before we might see the final product. So Stop freakin' whining. By the way, Nice post The_Hydra, it really gave me some insight.

didn't you people seen the arts from heroes 4 before it was launced? the also didn't loke like they became in the real game. so i think this wouldn't happen two heroes 5 as said before
(yeah i know first post..but i really like heroes and played most of the parts..so I know also a little of it )

RealnoobDeal: i get what you're trying to say but lets get one thing clear- people have the right to compliment or criticise the sketches because, as you put it, it gives everyone a clue how things are going to end up. And when people DON'T like the way it might end up, they have the right to give their opinion. Theres nothing ignorant about it, and it certainly isn't whining.
