favorite heroes? <--- any version of HOMM
This is a peaceful place with no prejudice, racism, bickering,annoyance, and/or fighting (even though HOMM is mainly involved in fighting. Although not every aspect...) This is a place to discuss your favorite heroes from any version of Heroes Of Might And Magic. I'll start off by giving my favorite.

AERIS- i like Aeris for his specialty of PEGASI. He also starts with 20 magic points. I know many other heroes do, but thats not the only reason i like him. I like his elf traits, I also like his knowledge and Spell Power to start off. AERIS is defenitely my favorite.
ASTRAL- i like astral because of his specialty of HYPNOTIZE. He also starts with 30 magic points (even more than AERIS) Again, many other heroes do, but thats not the only reason. I like that ASTRAL starts with ADVANCED WISDOM, saving me the trouble of teaching it to him (i make sure everyone of my heroes has at least ADVANCED WISDOM, but 2/3 have EXPERT WISDOM)I like that ASTRAL looks a little like GANDALF. ASTRAL may be my second favorite.
ADELAIDE- i like ADELAIDES special of FROST RING. She starts with an even 20 magic points (like so many others ) She starts with a level 3 creature (which sounds kind of noobyish to some, but if you start with limited resources, a few free GRIFFIN could always help  ) She is a very beautiful girl (even though its only computer ) Some of my friends who play HOMM once asked me "why do you pick girl heroes?" i answer "whats wrong with that? I bet i could still kick your F*%&*@*,DUMB@$$ with any girl heroes!" and everytime, i start with ADELAIDE or my next favorite MEPHALA, I use my secret **ULTIMATE** stategy and beat the living anti-women heroes out of them. A few of the actually started using ADELAIDE, MEPHALA, and a few other selections i like (whom i wont name for times, yours, mine, and my fingers sake ) ANYWAY! i love ADELAIDE!
MEPHALA- I dont so much like MEPHALA's specialty of ARMORER mostly cause i barely use it  , I do indeed like that MEPHALA starts off high ATTACK and HIGH DEFENSE (but evens it out with no SPELL POWER and KNOWLEDGE whatsoever!!LOL)i like (once again) she starts with a level 3 creature. (which for RAMPART, a few WOOD ELVES can shoot from across the hex, can SAVE YOUR LIFE!)I also like her elf traits. I like MEPHALA!
CORONIUS- I like CORONIUS and his specialty of SLAYER. I love his picture. It looks like a vision i get whilst reading anything by (MY MAIN MAN <---- R.I.P.) J.R.R. Tolkien. I love how the sun shines off of his face whilst he sits in silence, thinking. Im not gonna go into depth of why i like him anymore
XYRON- i like XYRON because of his specialty of INFERNO. he only starts with 10 magic points , but his even stats make up for it. I like the way he looks cause he...well...LOOKS AWESOME! I like his skills (even though he only has BASIC WISDOM, its cool though) XYRON is among my favorites.

This list of my favorites is about 6/15. Not saying i like every character in the game, for example, I HATE ALMOST EVERY NASTY, UGLY, STUPID, NON MAGICBOOK WIELDING BARBARIAN THERE IS! a few i do like though. Not as favorites, but i can stand em' (no what i mean?  ) such as Craighack or Darkstorn. Darkstorn is the coolest looking, but as for his warlock ability, (in my terms, not anyone elses) he kinda sucks. LET ME KNOW YOUR FAVORITES! PLEASE POST AND LET ME KNOW, IM INTERESTED IN FINDING SOMEONE WHO LOVES MY OPINIONS. elves, hobbits, wizards, forests, rangers, trees and everything magic and mystical...

Your love of Adelaide is well placed, but I don't usually use Coronius or Xyron. I Alagar as a starting Druid and Ayden as my Heretic.

Hello my friend,
if you look into this library, you will find many, many threads about good or bad heroes. Perhaps you read them first and later on youīll see, that your choice is a.....bad one (no insult!). I will try to give you my opinion about every 6 of your mentioned heroes below.

Do you know, that the PEGASI are one of the weakest Level 4 units in the game (perhaps THE weakest)?
So a hero with that speciality isnīt a well choice. And about the spellpoints....if you havnīt got a good spell, the spellpoints arenīt that important....)

Astral????? Tell me my friend, how often do you use HYPNOTIZE?? (instead of blind!) If you canīt blind a unit, normaly you donīt have enough spellpower to hypnotize a greater stack of units....
And about wisdom.....EVERY hero will get WISDOM offered as a choice at least one time until he reaches Level 9. So starting with wisdom is NO advantage (spellbook....ok)

Same as mentioned above....How often do you use FROSTRING (instead of lightning bolt!) and especially with 20 spellpoints .....btw...Whats your ULTIMATE strategy?....When i look at the choice of your heroes, it sounds a little bit strange....

The first GOOD choice youīve made!!! Armorer is one of the best specialities a hero can have (take a look at the end of the post...)

Sorry, but this choice is rather funny...
How often do you use SLAYER?.....especially in the first weeks of the game! I think this is the WORST speciality besides EAGLE EYE!!!

Let me tell you one thing my friend....If you play with any magic hero (with spellbook ) against a human player with stronghold and CragHack, you will never win...not in hundred tries....believe me....
If you have armageddons blade or Shadow of death, you can try by yourself. Make your own map in the editor. Map size not interesting. Make a small ground where you can place 2 towns and 2 heroes. Two players, NO team, no computer player.
Now choose a town and a hero for you, give him all secondary skills you want and also ALL spells you want. Give him units as much as a hero can buy in 2 months in 2 towns (I think you know how much the growth of every unit in the towns is..), also 50.000 experience points, and place him in front of your town.
Now you take a second color, choose stronghold and CragHack or fortress and Tazar, give him the following secondary skills (offense, armorer, tactics, earth magic, air magic, resistance, leadership, artillery (with balista!)) ALL spells up to Level 2, same amount of units and experience points and also place him in front of his town. Now you have to set the winning and loosing conditions (non special), name this map as you want and then save it. Now start your heroes-game, choose multiplayer, hotseat and now the map youīve mad.
Now you can fight against yourself and try to do your best with both sides and please tell us afterwards the result!!
Iīm looking forward to it.....

Well, as it's 'favorite' hero in question, not best...go ahead, knock yourself out.
My fav hero is Sorsha, mostly because I think I never lost with her, plus she gets good skills, and starts with two good ones. And she's good looking too.
