Intellegent Creatures With Logic
Creatures seem to act so stuipid in HMM3 like thers is no logic in battle. Im using my all time favorite town Dungoen u know i have about 3 main heroes im winning with my Hit and Run strategy. Well i have to take a break from batteling to eat( Im only 13 for anybody that doesnt know) So im versing some easy neatural creatures which should be a defenite win u know after I eat i come back and get a loosing battle screen after i had Black Dragons and many Minotours in my battle vs weaklings. Was this i glich in the game or where my creatures not smart enoguh to handle the battle. Personally I think that creatures should be smart enogugh to actually battle neturals themselves not heroes but netural creatures without heroes in the army( even though it would take all the fun out) sometimes we have things to do. Also I mean like Humans are smart should be able to make some decisions in the game Crusaders a basic Castle Age Infantry. I think some should be smarter and there should be better options for it u know and also I tell another idea after i get some replies thanks

Well, this is all-time-existent AI problem. We all knew about how great AI is. Let`s hope that NWC made it better...

I dont can u explain it to me also I was playing a battle I had a great line up Titans and all the others in Tower and while on my way to defeat a town I cam across a couple of Dwarfs so instead of running 5 dwarfs challenge me thats wrong and I had at least 30 Titans

I think there should be some type of Fear In the game
Fearless: Attacks at any command
Some Fear: Very High Numbers of Evil they wont attack ( only like level 1 and things
Fear: 15% chance they wont attack only 1 st level
Beserk: Wont attack 3/4 of the time unless they have high moral
Just some kind of scale for level 1 creatures to keep the login high in the game

I heard while testing the AI was toned down because it was imppossible to beat u know but i think there should be fear inside battles to espically for the lone creatures with a big army attacking them i mean its just logic

Have u guys ever even looked on map editor?
Here is a list of choice for wandering creatures:
Friendly: creatures will always join hero
Neutral: creatures may join hero
Hostile: creatures are likely to attack hero
Agressive: creatures will always attack hero
uhmmm... and also choice to put on:
creatures will never flee from the fight.
so won`t that explain why 5 dwarwes fight instead of fleeing when u have 30 titans?

I like the ratings of attitude great idea I also think that there should be request for creatures from other towns to have rounded chance of creatures

well...
... there is that quick combat option (or something like that), but it´s not really smart to use it, since the result is poor (tried it myself), besides, all the fun (and skill) lies in commanding the creatures yourself, tell them to go this way instead of that, to this not that, defend, wait...
... so if you let the AI do your battles, he´ll fight the same way he does against you - this way a battle you deemed *balanced* may result in a total fiasco...
... of course this term (balanced) differs - for AI *balanced* means two armies of equal strenght (and it usually attacks only if it prevails), not so with human players, so it happens often that AI actually underestimates you...
... for example he attacks your 16 grand elves (backed up by 5 centauri) with his 16 demons - he does not see your grand elves as deadly shooters (which they are), but only as a lvl 3 unit, while he´s got the same number of lvl 4 units; logically this is an advantage (assuming of course that the heroes are pretty even and there be no much magic involved) - it´ll take an eternity for demons to reach you (with the speed of only 5), and you, splitting your grand elves in two stacks and with 1 centaur in each other slot, will eventually prevail, being able to defend your grand elves with centauri, while taking the demons out one by one(this is an example of the top of my head, so it may not be totally accurate, but it should do for demonstrating what i mean)
... also, AI is defending a city with only one unit type (no matter the numbers)... you will rarely find these units split in 7 stacks as should be (usually there´s only one stack) - thus you can take them out with... let´s say a powerful spell, and had they been split, your losses would have been maximized...
... AI cannot recognize these *sophisticated* methods, so you might find it stupid, but actually homm3 AI is pretty good comparing to the other games (or at least it was when the game first came out) - one of the better AIs out there i reckon...
... oh, yeah, and another thing - i believe Thunder put everything just the way it actually is - and these attitude ratings are not *a great idea*, this is reality ... it´s everything in editor...
