But instead of making the experience cap permanant, make it temporary (like about a week) then the hero is completely "reanimated" and can once again gain experience.

I think 3DO is doing fine with HOMM4. I've been a long time player of heroes and I suggested 3DO and New World Computing many ideas on every different Heroes series (gogs were my idea... hehe). The screenshot is not the final screenshot. The game isn't even fully developed yet. How will we know what the game will be like just by a crappy underdeveloped screnshot? Let the guys do their work.
By the way(i know this thread is quite old and you are probably aware of this but, anyway...) vesuvius send a thread with an adress about some heroes 4 database.
There are plenty of screenshots, you should take a look.
