I've tested it:
6 Monks vs 3 Vampires
6 Monks vs 3 Venom Spawns
6 Monks vs 4 Ice Demons
6 Crusaders vs 3 Vampires
6 Crusaders vs 3 Venom Spawns
6 Crusaders vs 4 Ice Demons
That just proves, that Life creatures are more superior against the Death creatures during thier growth and Death Ward. Crusaders are ideal fighting Vampires, since they have 2 attacks.
Note: This was tested with WoW Equilibris 3.4

Equilibris nerfed the vamps. Are crusaders effective vampire slayers in the original H4s?

I remember that someone tested 1 crusader vs 1 vamp in original H4 - and - everybody died!!
IMO we should concentrate on wars between whole armies, with heroes after let's say 1 month. What do you think?

Obviously the berserkers will rape the sprites to death. At basic growth, berserkers will defeat every other lv 1 unit at basic growth.

Centaurs win. Wolves will lose to almost any other Lv1 unit stack at base growth (except leprechauns  ) due to their fragility (simultaneous retaliation really hurts them). Which is why wolves should only be used to attack creatures who have already retaliated.

Ok, there are far too many creature-on-creature battles here, but what about the classic Titan vs Black Dragon, or is that too old now? What must be taken into consideration in all of these is the cost of a unit i.e. Titan is 4000 gold, BD is 8000, therefore its a battle between 2 titans and 1 BD, and this applies to all creatures. When trying to see which is better of the 2, always take into account cost, so try and make the two lots of creatures cost the same, and also abilities which are only useful in normal combat or sieges.
Also try:
Devil vs Angel (Biggest rivals)
Leprechaun vs Peasant (battle of the really crap guys)
Gold Golem vs Minotaur (2nd level tanks)

don't think so! Sprite is much faster than berserker you know... Even for battle between 1 sprite against 1 frenzied gnasher, i still put my money on the lone sprite, providing i get to control the sprite during that 'un-balanced' battle.......

The berserker slay the sprite, because of speed (not only movement counts, and besides, berserker's movement is fine too).
The griffon kills the ogre mage easily.
The cyclope has no chance against the unicorn either.

I've tested it
1 on 1, the griffin will slay the ogre. But 6 ogres will defeat 4 griffins. This includes the ogres casting bloodlust on themselves during their 1st turn.
