Unauthorized Continuation
Well I must admit, Continuing the Lord of the Rings story does catch my fancy. Even if it is unauthorized(considering J.R.R. Tolkien died in the 70's) I do believe there are many great writers out there that could do some great work for him were he alive today. I should like to see some of these works you talk about. If you could please offer some names with the book titles then I would be grateful.

There are actually many book made by JRR Tolkien that are leading up to The Lord of the Rings. I have seen about 5 books all about middle earth and Bilbos adventures.

In cronological order (as they were written by Tollkien), the books are like this:
1. The Hobbit
2. LOTR 1-3
3. Silmarillion
Silmarillion was not finished by tollkien, but by his son who puti it together. There are also some volumes of short storie by tollkien, now to appear here in Romania.
I personally go for Silmarillion, it's a little more philosophical.

It's a pity that there's no magic, only might in "dagger". Though, adventures are cool.

Lord of the Rings is the most bautiful film I've ever seen... I also read Silmarillion a little bit difficult...lots of characters and names but very nice

Silmarillion is more about Tolkien's mythology, rather than a novel. It consists of more short stories, more like the ancient greek legends. It's more complex, it gives you more to think about, that's why I like it better.
