id like to see not extreme popular but worthy, nevertheless, maps.. for h4
and not too huge

fcorse make sense to have some popular too, just not dogday plzz! or let it be the remade vesrion if so..
how many maps is good for the tournament, you think?

Lost in space and Imperial prison take too long to play (revised opinion), so they are not fit for mapmasters in my opinion ... you don't want to play a 12+ hr game, and then after you finish it, start another ... it's not the period of time we have, but we can put a lot of maps in, but some will get like 3 games on and others will get 100 ...

Maybe I am not familiar with the layout and structure of Map masters. How does it work? I assumed it would be something similar to the speed demon tourny. You join a map that you think you are master on and play it. So what does it matter if there is a 12+ hour map there. Maybe you dont like a game like that, but I prefer only games like that. To me a 4 hour game on Circle or PS is boring. So lets not discriminate.
If you dont like the map in certain group then dont join it as a map master. etc
It is just sad that you guys tend to rate this game based on speed factors. 3 week maps 4 hour games etc etc, if you guys want to spend as little time in a game as possible, then play Battlefest or checkers or Warcraft3 etc. Just my opinion.

Jinxer, i think you have made that exact same post here a million times  just switch some of the map names around -and switch H3 for H4

You are so right pandora... they will never change. They want to play the same maps over and over and never try new ideas or things. I actually see that Desert War and HourGlass are maps still being played in H3 so shouldnt be suprised.
Actually doesnt matter, I say only put them fast rush maps in Map Masters. I just wont join the tourny. That will make everyone happy.

As for the layout, mapmasters is a bracketed tournament. Last year I had people register and then Motor or I came into the zone and had live matchup drawings to see who played who. You then have 2 weeks to play your matchup. So basically it's only one game per round so the length of the map should not be a really large factor. The point of the tourney is to see who is the best at the map, not who can play it the most times. I am rolling something around in my head that works that way (more addict format) to try and get some different maps looked at, but I don't have anything worked out, I haven't talked to Ves about it specifically and I don't have time at the moment for that, hehe. Right now I will be getting the maps pages for H3 fixed first then will work on other things, including the MapMasters rules page. I will start a thread with suggestions on the rules when I get the maps pages done and I am ready to proceed. In other words midnight, I'm not ignoring your suggestions, just not ready to go there quite yet. Patience my dears. In the meantime, if you look at the way I did the list you can see I put who voted for what. Many of you expressed several maps so it's not the best accounting. Maybe if from here on out you could list them in your order of preference then I can calculate from there, hehe. You Heroes 3 players just need to SAY SOMETHING, lol.

For the heroes 3 mapmaster tournament
Why not just go all out? Every 2 weeks starting from the top of the medium maps list you should have a mapmaster tourament for every map. Not just the popular ones but all of them. It's more fun, prevents hex memorization advantage, and shows that the victor most likely did his homework in studying and practicing the "not so popular maps"
as for heroes 4 i havent put much effort to learning the game so i have no comments.
