Quoting Celestial Heavens:
Quote: Black Marauder from H3Trio sent some bad news this morning: "I will be taking down my web site H3trio (...). It has been a pleasure over the years to serve the Heroes of Might & Magic community, and it allowed me the chance to make many new friends, whom I will never forget. I want to thank everyone who helped or contributed to the betterment of my site."
I hope it answers your question.

We will be republishing, with permission, some content from H3Trio (the articles which cover something that isn't already on Celestial Heavens) in the future. If there's some content from H3Trio that you can't find on CH, please let me know and I'll see what I can do.

We'll be posting all the maps as well. They didn't have many H4 maps that we don't already, but there are quite a few H3 maps, so stay tuned.

Oh my God!
How can this be? Did black marauder explained why? I do not see a reason for doing such a thing!
It was the one of the best H3 sites ever, with lots of goodies, maps, poems, stories and such.
Please, if you guys at CS will post some materials from H3trio on your site, don't forget the fan-made poems and stories... those were good.
Man, I still can't belive H3trio is down
*starts crying*

The reason why Black Marauder and friends gave up is that they didn't really like Heroes IV. While I disagree with that and think the game itself and the series as a whole are worth an in-depth coverage, maintaining a Web site on a regular basis is not an easy thing. It requires the Web master to allocate some time that would otherwise be spent on sports, reading, social activities or real work (!!). After a while, you get tired of it and move to something else. When that happens, the trick is to find someone else that can take over and continue your work, but it's easier said than done. So, yes, that's how H3Trio ended I guess.

In-depth Heroes of Might and Magic websites have been disappearing from the web lately. H3trio's gone...AstralWizard...Age of Heroes (still there, but doesn't look like it's been updated in a long time, almost nothing on Heroes 4).
There's still Celestial Heavens and this site (of course!).
I don't know of any other really good, comprehensive sites on the web about the Heroes series, that have content for more than just Heroes 3 or 4.

There are good Heroes sites out there if you can read Russian, Polish, French or Chinese. In English, there used to be Heroes4.org and Hmm4.com, but both died a long time ago already. New fan sites should start appearing once we learn a little more about Heroes V, but I doubt they will include information about the early games.

I don't know if anyone knows about my site, HommWorld. I had a fairly large site online with in-depth detail on each of the first 4 games. With what has been said in this thread, it sounds like my site was one of the bigger HoMM sites on the web. The site's down right now since I'm changing servers, but will hopefully be back up and running in another day or two.

I've hoped it's just a temporal pause. These are very bad news. If they didn't really like Heroes IV, why didn't they turn to Chronicles and WoG? Their name is/was h!3!trio, isn't it? There are very little information about them on the internet. It's simply not fair. I will sleep badly tonight.
