Ok, then my point is that everything is =/= art to me - except my own stuff, of course.

You know, how about the critics stop finding 'hidden meanings' of a piece of art, and let the author explain those things - if he can't, it's obvious a random attempt without talent and should definitely not be considered art

Ash, you are mistaking artists for critics. Critics and interpreters would just LOVE to do what the artists do - but CAN'T. That's why they explain WHAT they would love to do what they can't.
Artists just CREATE something.
I mean, take for example Paul McCartney. He said, he DREAMT Yesterday and woke up with the melody in his head, certain that he'd heard it somewhere the other day... But no, he hadn't, except maybe in his own subconscious.
So why would he have to explain it? If it's art it speaks for itself, doesn't it?

not really... an artist explaining his work is like a comedian explaining his jokes...

Maybe you're right...
but then, if you make a joke which is VERY lame for you and you can't make a funny one (let's say you lack talent), and then surprisingly, some people find it funny , do you consider yourself talented, or you were just lucky?

Techno remixes?
Are you kidding?
It's statements like that that make you seem like your itunes is populated entirely by Final Fantasy battle scene orchestras, but having said that I'm afraid that might ring a little too true for some members here.
'Techno' remixes lol.

Nobody else sees this as art? Really?
OK, maybe it's from my "square" engineering type mind, but even though this is not what I normally consider to be "true" art, it did have some appeal to it.
At first I wasn't really sure why. Maybe something about the color combinations? The shapes? Does it matter why it had some appeal?
It took maybe 20 seconds to realize what it was. Come on people, you should be able to figure this one out it's easy.

It's typical for most of people to call 'techno' everything from among techno, house, tech-house, dance, and by the way trance (!), drum'n'bass (?) or even electro (sic!), sometimes darkwave . It becomes somewhat confusing and dangerous for all the EDM scene and beyond, of course leads to misunderstanding and conflict involving all the listeners.
It's usually irrelevant which genre or style particular track belongs, as commercial crap will stay commercial crap no matter whether its techno or not and for that reason statement about crappy techno remixes makes a lot of sense. But please get it right.

Well, it doesn't appeal, actually.
There's something wrong with the symmetry (take a look at the upper right - there is something "missing") which is either an oversight or planned. If it's an oversight - forget it. If it's planned, it doesn't capture me enough to try and think about a reason.
Secondly, the colours. Red, blue and yellow with black and 2 kinds of grey. Very basic, only primary colours - , but while black and grey as non-colours are included, grey even doubly, white is missing, though. Would that be of significance?
Shapes are simple as well. Now, if it WAS symmetric, which it isn't, it would be something like a svastika construction, which is - then - what makes you want to look at it: trying to envision the whole of the geometrical concept, the system of coloration (if there is any) and the question, why it's not symmetrical and whether that is significant for the statement.
Art?
Sure.
Appealing?
I prefer real mathematics.
