I would have done something but an April Fools joke would have looked stupid cause it would have been March 31 for most members.

Awwwww, poor Dingo. I don't know. I probably would have jumped to conclusions too. I remember when I first read this I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Than I saw RSF's resignation post and I put two and two together. Was pretty funny.

Oh shaddup! I'm still here...I still say that I should have gotten a qp for helping the prank get going by telling Gangrail and Kittenangel about it. I think it was funnier when Kitten took away all of Dingo's stars so that he'd have had a huge time limit in between posts...

Here's the fully detailed explanation of how it all happened. It was written by Shadowcaster in an IM to me.

You obviously don't understand. We were not exploiting any system. RSF had been itching to do a joke on the community all day, and had already falsely resigned from HC as a prank earlier that day. Then he had an idea to bring Dingo into the mix by assigning him many fake QPs throughout the later hours of April 1st. Four QPs later, he IMed me and let me in on the joke, and I decided to sweeten the pot by spreading around the rumor that Dingo had somehow gotten RSF's password and was abusing his powers as a mod. For about an hour and a half, the thread that served as the hub of the joke quickly soared in post count, and everyone was both confused and angry at Dingo for what he had done. We had fooled nearly everyone, even other moderators, who could have simply used IP check to determine whether or not Dingo had really stolen RSF's identity. The critics blamed the goings on of the day, but a few IMs from myself convinced them otherwise. After an hour and a half of confusion and the blame game, we let everyone know of the prank. It was quite some fun.
The reason I am defending these QPs is because they were earned by the merit of the impact that the joke had on the community. You can bet others will try and pull their own HC April Fools joke come that day next year. They were given out because of the craft and preparation that had gone into a prank that fooled an entire community for a day, not because we humored a mod in his mischeviousness. The singular posts that the QPs were assigned to are irrelevant, they are just part of the bigger picture, but I believe they should stay because of their impact. A lot happened that only us three could see. Our QPs were not argued against until now, even though some took the joke rather personally. I'm just saying that unless you saw the joke in action, there's no way you could understand why those QPs were given. I hope you understand.
