I am in the process of doing the campaigns and I think I have done the 1st scenario, unfortunatly even tho it says "hard", its not really harder than the previous campaigns, but I don't know about the 3rd scenario, my suggestion to you is that its quite possible to do and don't despair. Computer is usually VERY weak to early attacks.

as far as i remember, you have three oponents that are not allied.
I don't see the problem in that. It's quite an easy campaign

Destroy enemy heroes. They are the main strength of enemy. Enemy starting towns don't have taverns so they can't bring them back in battle but some of towns for capture have. If enemy retreats and you have tavern you can recruit their defeated heroes.

Festival Of Life
I loved Festival of Life campaign! It's really interesting and makes me feel like a true barbarian.
Ok here's the deal:
It's all about taking towns on the run. That's the entire campaign. What you have to do is build up rocs + behemoths for every scenario. Scout like crazy and make your scouts draw the enemy away from their baes. When you do, rush in as fast as you can to the nearest town with your best troops(roc+behemoth) and then quickly move to the next town. Keep hitting and running until you're strong enough to hold down a base. By doing this you'll find that the comp can't gain exp as fast as you. You'll quickly outmatch him and overpower his strongest heroe. It's all about hit and run in this campaign. Your towns will be taken shortly after you leave them but you'll be ok because you are taking one of his and gainin levels. If you can, don't let the comp get any exp. Dismiss heroes, dismiss units in a town you know will be taken, etc. You kinda need to think like a barbarian. Kill first, defend later.

I know your problem. I had the same. I lost two times before passed it.
The hint is, as soon as you get yourself a small army and take the few surrounding mines (about 3 or 4 weeks passed), leave your town with the army and go north-west. There is a hidden Lion's Shield of Courage on the road, that will boost your hero's stats. Then conquer that north-western town. There are no building limitations, like with the starting town. From here you'll immedietly eliminate one of the oponents. You've got 2 more left, and two towns. From here on it will be easy. You just need the courage to take the north-western town.
Cheers.

Perhaps i´m wrong Svarog, but this sounds more like the first scenario of the last "hided" campaign.
It was called something like: "Fay...... worthyness" or similar. Where the goblins always tell you "Follow the cobblestone road....

Perhaps you're not wrong, angelito.
I probably messed things up here. Sorry, guys. Coz that was a Stronghold campaign also, I could have made a mistake. Also, that was the only camapign that i had troubles with, so I thought that's what you're asking about.
Cant check right now, coz my PC's kinda crshed and it will take a while before I fix it. Ignore my post back there.

Hey, I just completed the Festival of Light campaign and there shouldn't be too much problem for you to complete the scenario, just remember, if... I said IF they enter your territory 1st, ATTACK them and chase them to their town, that way u will get rid of at least 1 opponent super fast... If you are ready to attack before they are, DON'T hesitate, cuz it will mean more cash, more arts, more xp, more creatures for you... Really u can do it, just watch out not to lose ur 3 lieutenants.
