Guide For H4 newbies

What is ToH?

why i have to inscribe in ToH?
its free and Isnt a obligation, but if u take a look there, u can see most of people are in, so its much more easy to find a ToH game that a simply fun game, most of best player of the world there, so if u in , u could play the best H4 players around the world like camoes, the_teacher..etc and have some really fun games vs the best
How can i Know the actual version i of the game i have?
just go to the Homm4 installation directory and check the uheroes 4 exe by right click on.
Wich Version i need to play in GS?
well,actually most of ppl goes to mod equilibris 3.42 , to install that mod u need to update ur game to version 3.0 first (if is a old version ) and then to 3.42 mod.
Where could i find the patches to upgrade to v 3.0?
u will find all here, for ex.[url]http://dynamic3.gamespy.com/~homm/index.php?page=homm4/h4patches.shtml[/url]
Need some expansion to play on-line?
well, if u dont go 3.42 mod, u need the Winds of War or Gathering Storm expansions since the main game pack dont give u the Multiplayer mode, with the mod, u dont neeed any expansion
How i can upgrade to 3.42 equilibris Mod?
just go to [url]http://www.strategyplanet.com/homm/equilibris/eng/downloads.html[/url]and dowload arhives
which archives i need?
if u have WoW->heroes4_sfx.exe
if u dont have expansions-> updates_sfx_exe
afther that and in both cases u need to run the install_equilibris_V3.42.exe
and u have now the 3.42 running!
the last step its change the Gamespy Path to the EXE, if u wanna run the v 3.42 for ur games online, just need to move the path to h4mod.exe instead of h4.exe, u can do that in options,

Are you sure that you know Heroes 4 to a nicety?
Or you want to learn some refinements?
Or you mapmaker and want to prevent still unknown and unlikely trucks?

Do you know that you can see how played your opponent?
What do you need to do this?
1) Agree with oppenent that he say you his password after game. This is very important.
2) Save every turn (you can do this manualy or use programm
http://heroes.furexpo.com/autosaver.html)
3) After game you need to load this saves and press replay turn. If fog of war will be removed by nwcprometheus you can see how opponent moves his units and heroes.

I will post here solution of campaign one mission by one week. If somebody know solution of any mission - you can post it here.
Mission 1
1) Built Fae Trees
2) Recruit 1 sprite
3) Up hero in town
4) Out sprite from town
5) Move sprite left on [39,12]
6) Recruit 2nd sprite
7) Out Hero with 2nd sprite to 1st sprite [39,12]
8) Dismiss 1st sprite
9) Move Hero with 2nd sprite to [43,18]
10) Visit trough
11) Move Hero with 2nd sprite to [43,45]
12) Take gold mine.

Actually, #3 was the easiest.. no need to think to solve it, only needs some minor testing of moves.

Mission 2
Put gold golem in start town on day2.
1) Kill hero in Mystical garden.
2) move halfling from [22,56] to [13,45]
3) move halfling from [11,43] to [15,32]
4) move halfling from start town to [25,21]
5) take dead hero by 2nd halfling and move it to [33,13]
6) visit window of the magi to see where is the second town.
7) End of turn.
8) Move dead hero using chain of halflings to [22,57] and resurrect it.
9) Dissmiss all halflings
10) Hero take 2nd town
11) Put hero inside town
12) Buy 1 gold gloem and 4 halflings
13) Move halflings to places [38,65] [38,66] [38,67] [38,68]
14) See in hero spell book (inside town) and cast town portal.
15) Move gold golem inside start town and press end of turn

Missoin3
1) unjoin nomad from hero
2) this nomad must visit stable, trough, oasis and join to hero
3) Hero with super fast nomad move to [37,40]
4) dissmis nomad in army
5) next nomad must visit stable, trough, oasis and join to hero
6) hero with second nomad move to [37,50] and visit oasis, than move to [37,52] and visit stable, than move to [37,53] and visit trough.
7) move army to [37,70] and dissmis nomad
8) attack angels - hero in position 6
9) use animate dead staf to animate angels, and ressurect spell of angels to ressurect hero and so on until you kill all angels

1. Field marshall w/ gm offense
2. sword of the gods, 2 rings of offense, helm of command
3. ring of greater negation on second hero
4. the spell : Bloodlust or bloodfrenzy
5. put the blackies in a town (castle upgraded)
6. get attacked - with blackies on a tower.
7. cast bloodlust or bloodfrenzy
8. Blackies get morale -> 338 attack
