It works like this:
Greece loses to Russia
Portugal beats Spain
Ok. After this
Spain is 1 win 1 draw and 1 loss = 4 points
Portugal is 2 wins 1 loss = 6 points
Greece is 1 win 1 draw and 1 loss = 4 points
Russia is 1 win 2 losses = 3 points
So Portugal finishes top and Spain fights it out with Greece. Hopefully then Spain would have better goal difference and go through
But i don't think in form Greece is gonna lose to Russia 
no they can't. Russia is way too weak to win greece and i don't think that they will even draw. and there is a 75% chance that greece will be in the first place in the group.
Right now Spain's chances are higher than portugal's. I think that they will draw and spain will get to the quarter finals.

i'm not a big fan either. I only watch world cup and european championships. And soccer is so much better than football, at least nobody is killed during the game!

after the bulgaria game most people talked about henke (Larsson), so now after last nights masterpiece of a goal.. will everyone start talking Zlatan then?
They have a voting on the biggest swedish newspaper who scored the best goal.. Larssons 2-0 header vs bulgaria or Zlatans backheel goal against italy now.
I frankly cant vote since they both are world class. Cant say which one is better..weird

Can't believe italy lost 5 mins from time...
thought we had the win too, oh well.
Germany drew 0-0 with Latvia! They r in danger of getting knocked out! now wouldn't that be funny. I think Czech is garenteed top spot after beating Netherlands 3-2. And they were 2-0 down! cant believe that they will finish top!
@ ratmonky - all we can do is hope that Greece loses. After all, never say never! Nothing is garenteed in soccer

The only way that Portugal AND Spain can qualify through next round, is that Greece loses his match against Russia, Portugal wins against Spain, AND Spain scores at least TWO goals.....otherwise Greece is in the next round...

Im afraid Sweden wont make it to the quarterfinals unless Italy draws against Bulgaria. Denmark is definetly gonna beat your sorry excuse of a behind
On a more serious note, my money is on France or Spain as winners, and if Italy starts playing all the time like they did the first half against Sweden, they will be strong outsiders.
Germany wont make it to the quarterfinals either, my bet is they loose their last game.

Oooops, my next favourite (probably the next flop ) is Chzec Republic.
Portugal really deserved to win that match. They were more motivated and active on the field.

indeed and def, as a token of your servant attitude after the big game i will as the nice person i am accept your tribute of a beer to celebrate our win
hopefully it ends 2-2 though, im fed up with the italian tossers now. If they had won their 2 games they wouldnt be in this position, now they will do anything to put the blame on everyone else if the games would end 2-2.
usually i just see the italians as diving divas.. and when you dont think its possible they go one step further down by having a capt thats spits on folks and nation&players that blames everyone except themselves.

oh gosh, i admit my mistake i was really wrong about it.
This is all i can say about group A
Russia sucks as they are not good at all
Greece sucks twice as they lost to russia because russia sucks
Portugal sucks thrice as they lost to Greece and they lost to Russia because Russia sucks
Spain sucks four times as they lost to Portugal and they lost to Greece and they lost to Russia because Russia sucks...
So the team in Group one that sucks the least is Russia!?HUH???

A real "team" will prevail
Euro 2004 is full of surprise.
my favorite team netherland is ruined by the stupid coach who waste those quality strikers on the bench. netherland has many good players but it is NEVER a good TEAM ! (well, maybe except the team in 80's)
Now my hope goes to Czech. It shows great passion and determination. Greece is also a good team but now they are no longer a black horse and people will start to know how to handle them. Anyway, they should be proud of themselves.
Euro 2004 gives us some remarkable crashes between TEAM and STAR PLAYERS. And I still believe a real "team" will prevail. Go, Czech, go Nedved !
