New here and hope you can help
Hi there,
I'm new to the site and I'm hoping you guys can help me with a problem I'm having with making a map with Hero's 3.
I've created the map and have placed many of the objects that I would like in the game on the map. I did the Validate map and received, there are no problems with this map. I would like to do a test run on the game before going any further. My problem is this. I've named the map, saved it to the map folder (it is saving as a .h3m) but when I pull up the game, it is not showing up in my scenarios.
I've made other maps before and have had no problems with them showing up in the game. However this is my first one that I've made in over a year. I'm sure it is something really stupid that I am missing but I've been tearing my hair out since yesterday and I can't come up with what I am missing!
I did a search through your pages here and didn't see this question asked before, so I hope I am not repeating a frequently asked question.
Can anyone think of why this would be happening? I even thought, maybe I've too many maps in my folder, so I removed all but the game made ones and it is still not showing up.
I appreciate any help

Try running the game after saving the map in the maps folder.

Did u named the map AND saved it under the SAME name, or did u chose a different name for both things?

I've tried saving the map, shutting down the map editor, and then tried running the game. Heck, I even shut down my computer and rebooted...
I did name the map the same as what I saved it. I tried both ways and it is still not showing up.
I appreciate the suggestions. I'm sure it is something really obvious that I am overlooking. It has just been so long since I've done this...I have never had this problem before so I'm sure it is something that I'm doing.

What Heroes-versions do you have on your pc?
Perhaps u made the map as an AB map, but you start the RoE version of that game......only an idea...

I figured it out  I knew it was something stupid, and it was. I talked with my sister on the phone and she asked if the map would pull up under a single player game. I thought what the heck and tried it. Yep there it was. Doh!! I only put the first player in as human, and left the other 5 players as computer. Dumb dumb dumb. I knew it would be.
Oh well. I'm glad I figured it out
