I'm Leaving Tavern
I have decided to leave moderating Tavern. I never really wanted to moderate Tavern even when I joined. I put in as much effort as I could using my best judgement. I just cannot handle being criticized for doing my job anymore. I only receive complaints for what I do. It is the same reason that Lich_King left. I am just tired of the selfishness of the community. I am tired of being treated like the enemy simply because I am in authority. I'm only trying to help with my best judgement possible. What frustrates me the most though are the members.
Members don't want their own posts deleted, but they are always complaining about other members, the members they don't like, because they are spammers, or tossers, or whatever stupid label you put on everyone. I'm sick of it. I'm sick of all of it. I constantly ask for feedback, for input, for anything.
Here's what happens. I ask for feedback. No one answers. Maybe one or two people. Tons of complaints and flame wars. I decide to just make up my own mind since no one seems to care. Then I get tons of complaints about what I did.
The complaints bother me the most, not because they are complaints, but the reason I get complaints. I get complaints because I give someone a QP or delete a post, because they like or don't like that person. Then I get accused of favoritism, because they don't like that person. But really the complaints have more favoritism behind them than any action I make. And this goes for just about everybody except for a select few people.
I have realized that I can't do anything more as a moderator of Tavern. I can't make people change. And that is the only way I can improve Tavern. People are not willing to work with the moderators to improve Tavern.
Please prove me wrong. Please show me that the community cares. We will need some new moderators for Tavern. I hope to see some applications.

Good choice RSF... leave them.. Let them choke to death with thier garbage... Let them swim in spam and toss, why should you care and ruin your mood ?

RSF stay around at least until 2 others MOD will be elected in exchange for RMS and Lich King...

I don't really remember the modsquad doing anything bad... Well, ok, once I complained that I got a 3rd QP, but that was long ago. Ok, I once got penalized for posting a funny pic, but everyone makes mistakes.
Yous is a good bunch, don't give up.

there alrdy is a thread about this in turban tribunal, i think the conversation about RSF resignment/the treatment of tavern should take place there instead as it concerns the board itself.

You know Sir Tosser, somwhere in the back of my head there's somthing saying this is the stuff RSF is getting sick of. He asked for help and feedback, not your telling him that you think he needs to move it to the Turban Tribunal. If that's the case than I think your posts outta be moved to the Wastlands.
RSF, did you talk to Val about your problems with the Tavern? If it's honestly that bad than maybe some new rules need to be made exclusivly for the Tavern. From what I can tell from being here as long as I have, the Tavern was HC's first RP place. This is where all of the good stuff origionated from. There is still hope for the Tavern but in my opinion if you're going to moderate it than you need to remember that you ARE the moderator. Val obviously picked you for a reason. He obviously trusts your judgement. Why let these Tossers and Spammers complaints get to you? I kind of agree with Lich_King in what he says. Let em have what they want. Obviously they don't need any mods in the tavern. Let's see what they do than. No Mods=No one to complain to. Let's see how long they last.

Probably they will do fine... for a week. Then people will start leaving HC because the Tavern is becoming the Wastelands.
