What is your fav map ?
From Heroes III : Restoration of Erathia i love Islands & Caves ... and Free for All ...
From Heroes Complete i don't know yet cuz i just installed it and i have to look at the maps ...

A kool map is Myth and Legend...It's a XL, but I like it because it's inspired from the greek mythology

I really don't like small or medium maps ... only L , XL ... the smaller ones don't have that "safe for two weeks" feeling ...

Old World is a really curious map, i supose it is one of my favorites because it just looks neat.

Free For All owns... edit it so ur playing 2 vs 6  (where you're the team of 2 of course, preferably not playing the centre positions, too much resources for you), and play on 200%... ultra fun backstabbing map , sometimes u find urself saving ur enemy one turn, and then killing them the next day ! XD

the best map I ever played was Emporer of the World 2.
it always had me wanting to go on, even though it was just huge.
it also had clever tricks like hidden passageways and puzzles regarding how you had to fight certain creatures. (for example do you want to use armor of the damned or angelic alliance, and do you want to use the orb of negation at the same time? etc
)
it also wasn't too wordy like a lot of RPG's are. Unfortunately it crashed two thirds of the way through because ai had too much gold. Maybe I nneded the patch. don't know.

My favourite map was Battle of the Sexes... It was me and my friend versus the cpu girls... We had a great battle back then.
Always funny how I had to help him during that allied battle.
