Wow, 35 degrees is really hot.  What do you people do when it gets to be around 80 degrees?  I always thought Australia was a hot country, but IMO 35 degrees is weak.  If it was 3 degrees colder than the water would be frozen.

I think he means 35 degrees Celsius, which IS about 80 degrees farenheit.

random anecdotes

1) For a while, I knew of a Coke machine that "chilled" its bottles to such a temperature that unwary people were getting burned.  That's hot Coke for you.

2) My family used to keep pet tropical fish.  The water heater used to keep their tank ~78-82 degrees Farenheit wore out, so we bought them a new one.  My dad set it for 80 degrees.  In the morning, we had cooked fish.    Those little "C" and "F" labels do indeed make a significant difference.
