.. im sure many will feel this way about doors and not never speak it, they just wont play it
and id never talk if i didnt think good about map

thanks. so how did your final battle with gaga come out? too many creatures? heroes too easy to kill? were the alignments you played relatively balanced? i worry that nature will be too powerful on the map (longer map=more creatures). did either of you have nature?

Valky finally came out with the truth...
It all boils down to being able to find the shortcuts and patterns in a map and run it flawlessly so you can " catch your opponent off guard" and gain the unbalanced advantage.
It is sickining to hear you crybabies whining about this new map not fitting your comfort zone. Wha Wha its to long. There are 50 map posted on TOH that are 3-5 week maps and maybe 8 maps total that are 6+ and you guys are complaining?
Just stick to your PatternSpot and Pattern for Life maps and ignore these other maps.
I pretty much have restricted myself to playing with a few select players that enjoy playing the game and arent soley in it for the fastest easiest points to gain in TOH.
There is just no standard in TOH that forces any players to truely prove overall Talent in H4. Need more bracketed style subtournies that force players to play a variety of maps no matter what the style or length of map.
Now lets see who can flame the hardest and fastest.....
***** I mean no disrespect to anyone.... its just soo frustrating to hear guys complaining about a new map, solely cause its a longer map. Just play the map, and if it takes you 3 hours or 2 days to complete, so be it. Is that how you measure a map, weather or not you can click the win/lose button on TOH 4 times a day or 3 times per week? Sounds more like you guys dont enjoy H4, as much as you like clicking the win/loss button many times in short period of time.

i was nature- gaga order
end fight , he had 37 titan, 96 naga
me, ~28 phinix, 24 mantis(lost 4 in middle game too)
also note that my tactician was adv-exp at all tactic skills while his GM to all..
.. mebe i was lucky with mass cancel scroll and 145 def-health ring to my tactician, or teleported naga would kick my crunchy butt
anyway.. maybe nature is strong regardless map, and is the speed and flying abilities of its animals, that make skim work..
and for heroes to die easy, you need half of those creatures..
.. ironman map, has a great final battle, balance between heroes defences and animals is very good, however very fixed gameplay ruins its replayability.. hey!even russian team picked it for war

i had a trauma once playing kolia, waiting 7-8 days for door to crack in IP..
.. now we manage to wait around 15 days for the crack, 3-4h and some mini curses to the mapmaker for wasting my time and game appetite
being jinxerisly slow in middle game too(being 1st time and not know map, and get gm path-glove around day 20)
gee valk, i feel like a hero replying to sub-zero guy

Whats mean "even russian"? Russian likes to play with human, but maps when you playing 10-15 hours vs comp and have one final battle are boring Because its loooks like single game. Iron man is exception, because the great final battle, of course, with good balance. Pretty quickly game about 3-4 weeks. And never staying, always forwarding...

yes but maps like this are so fixed(many arties disabled, no random altars, forced to visit all teachers-trees) that produces very similar playstyle each game
also, the lack of many artifacts, makes the few strong left very decisive.. so with trying to reduce luck factor, one is only making it worse!
hoher had 105 att on his blackies vs me! how one disables blue cape or frizbee, cause is very strong and leaves 40%att sword and speed ring in game? if many strong arties in game, chances of even distribution are higher, than only 3-4 strong.

Absolutely. But most maps have the same problem. One have sword of swiftness and brestplate of regeneration, but second sword of gods and helm of commander, if they are playing fast game then must win first, but if game is long with many creatures must win second.

No, if its 3-4 at list, it's bad because if you got one more art you must win. 2 great arts always beat 1, but 51 strong arts is equi 50 the same arts! Maps must have much good arts.
