Heroes 3 Anti-Cheat Program
I think i have the solution for the perfect anticheating system in heroes3 .
It is a program through which the players will connect at the begining of the game.
That program will report the state of the "sensitive" files in the /games and /random_maps directories and also the file whihc are modifide by the trainers i dunno which are those yet.
That means taht when you try to copy or open those files with another program the opponent will be prompted and a log will be also sent to ToH.
I am still a newbie at Visual C++ and i think i program like that will take me at least sa month to do it, but i know there are a few skilled programmers between the Heroes3 players who can do it much faster.
There cabe be more of usefull features taht program can have : determine the cause of crash, automatic saves, the launching of the game through it, etc.
I will start anyway if no volunteers appear but i would like to know your opinions about that.

Interesting
The idea is sound; would you be able to program something like this? It would be made available to any homm3 user downloadable on ToH.

I can make program that will look on folders and be sensitive to modified files.
But trainer modify operative memory and do not touch any files, so programm will be unusefull.
Save every turn (or rename autosaves) and look it after game. This is best protection vs any kind of cheating.

i did some researh, it can be done
The viewing saves it's easy to track like i said .
The trainers, you are right tehy use ram so there aren't any files which are modified ( i was wrong about that sorry).
But there is an much easier solution to it, the program will report any game trainers, or direct memory access programs which run in background. Or even better the program will report at anytime what program does the opponent use in background.

It's possible to create programm, that will not allow to switch from Heroes - only after exit you can switch to other programm.

That does not solve anything though - the player can have more computers. If someone really wants to cheat on his side (computer), he can.

We can't force the guys to don't switch from h3 some opponents take huge turns but,in my opinion, in order to be efficient the program has to :
- save every turn
- notify if the opponent is copying the saves or the random generated maps to another place for later viewing
- always show what the opponent has in background or switched to, if u see something fishy u can leave withour reporting.
What do u think ? Shall we do it ( me and hoher )
