help campaign, me also too dumb
Hi,
I am trying the first campaign of WOG (already played the tutorial), and I can't find out how to set this peasant off of my horse.
According to what I have read on this forum, I am supposed to leave him off at the hex to the right of my hero when I stumble over the rock. But this doesn't seem to work. I right click to the right of my hero and get the question whether I want to leave some of my army. Then I click ok and then I get the window showing the blank fields above, and my hero and Dan below, but no matter what I click, I can't get Dan to move up to the upper row. It would seem to me this is being disallowed since it means my hero would be stuck with no army at all.
How do I do this correctly?

Why did you not post in the first thread?
Anyway, you are supposed to have a pikeman (from the hero north-west), if I remember correctly. Maybe then you can leave the peasant..

Hi,
Thanks for the replies. I didn't find out how to get the pikeman, maybe I missed something.
Why didn't I post in the first thread? Because I wanted to get an answer, I guess. The first thread already had 11 replies and the original poster was already asking questions about much later in the campaign. I thought if I posted there, my question would be overlooked.
Anyway, I am going to stop WOG for now and play some regular Heroes 3 maps. I started the second WOG campaign (the box in the upper right) and got to the second part of it and am currently being bombarded by script error message after script error message (enemy flags can't find hero?) and so I am a bit discouraged with WOG at the moment.
Thanks for the help, though!

this messeges ame, too for me....
as for the first campaign:
When you talk to the heroe to the upper left of the map and tell him abiout the crusaders, he disappears and u can take a pikeman with you. Now you can leave Dan near the crusaders by right-clicking on the grouind next toi ur heroe. Then hide on a particular place of your fields (just try all, u will get a messege if u find the right one)

Well,
To have the knight talk to me at all, I had to get close to crusaders, then back away, visit abandoned shed, visit monk, visit windmill, and somewhere in between visit fathers statue.
Then the knight wanted to talk to me and I got pikemen.
The first adventure is ok all the way, i.e. no bugs.
I liked it.
Unfortunatelly 2nd and 3rd campaign had bugs, but it seems that 3.58 corrected ERM messages popup in 2nd campaign.
