Xarfax isn't playing WoG so far, maybe I can convince him on our upcoming LAN which will be next week. And I'm sure he won't play unless multiplay is absolutely stable.
Summon permanent elementals with a high spell power (let's say 20 and expert Earth) can give you 560 earth elemetals a week when you have the wizard's well or enough wells/magic springs. Nice if you play with fortress and have an altar of transformation, but I think it's common use.

i hope that 3.58f will work fine in multiplayer. some people tested it and with only hardcoded features all went fine. almost all scripts are fixed for multiplayer and all except page 3 works fine

Okay, hereīs one. Itīs not really a tactic, but a weakness I found in units who summon other units or clones (for example pitfiends and enchanters). Cause the summoned creatures appear right next to summoning creatures, guess what you can do with dragons (except the ones with no breath attack)...
Keep this thread running.

But this is very helpful when fighting against shooters. They prefer to attack the clones which appear every round(at least in case of enchanters/sorceresses)

Heres something i found with the enhanced sorcery 1 option for allied maps like vengence and quickie allies where there are lots of gold chests.
Apart from the obvious that you can get extra gold from chests and extra resourses from resource piles you can also do wonders for your commander.
first you need to start with someone like Alagar who has basic wisdom and sorcery. Dismiss his commander and rehire an ogre leader commander for the ballistas.
Go straight for those gold chests and get to expert sorcery fast. First thing you will notice is that you will never get less than 2000 gold in chests but guess what, this also means never less than 1500 in exp.
Take the exp. your commander needs Attack, hit points, damage and magic power which will later give you access to death stare, strike twice and no retal.
If the " some standard chests contain more gold option is enabled", then all the better, but we cant have too many ifs and buts so assuming it isnt then by the time you get through all the chests ( focus on on damage and magic power to get death stare and then on hit points for you commader ) you should have death stare and about 600 hit points, possbly attack twice aswell. You can also visit all your plus 1 knowledge and power + 1000 exp sites just by right clicking on them which saves movement.
But more importantly you can stroll into you topia day 4 or 5 of the first week with just your commander and 7 single level ones . even if there are 5 blackies no problem. Once you have used you fodder to take up the dras retal they will go for you ballistas which is ok because by then your commander will have killed the reds and greens and with you hero being about level 15 with about 5 ballistas , between them and your commander you will kill the rest. a first aid tent also helps, but thre it is, a topia in 4 or 5 days.

You dont. You do it in 2 days on a map like vengence.
You just go straight for the chests behind the castle and when you have expert sorcery ( with enhanced sorcery 1 option enabled } you will get a minimum of 1500 exp from each chests. with other option enabled you can get up to 3500 exp.
Actually come to think of it the Paladin commander might be better as he gets 150% of the heroes exp.
Level 15 was based on the number of levels you have to go up to get death stare and strike twice by the time you clear the chests, which i have achieved using these elements.
One other thing. On Vengence you have 3 learning stones behind each castle, so visit these first to minimise the number of chests you use to get expert sorcery.
Once you are you will be able to visit your allies learning stones by right clicking on them as well as all the other +1 objects behind each castle.
Just ask your ally to move a scout close enough to reveal the stones.
Try it out if you have the map, it works.

Theres only 1 tactic you need to beat any Wogified map: Play Necropolis, build necromancy hero, get Cloak of the Undead King, Win. Seriously, that cloak is the single most overpowered artifact in the game.

just don't put accumulate guards on.You can't possibly win against 18 azure dragons month 2 except if you have multiple towns or dwellings or a suitable strategy.

The other way would be the modification of the script. You could store fraction values in !!PO variables, and lower weekly growth for higher level units.
Let say, you start with 3 dragons as guards, and you have set 10% weekly growth. Now you will have 3*110%=3.3 dragons next week. So You will store 0.3 in a 8 bit PO variable. (0.3*256=76)
Next week you will have 3 76/256 guards, growing to 3 160/256.
Next week 3 252/256, and then 4 98/256. So You have to fight 4 dragons on week 5.
This is just an exemple. If veterans say, that the actual growth rate is too high for lvl7-8, then we should lower it. Modifying scripts is the ultimate winner tactics.
I have just finished an L size random map at hard level on day 13, and was not able to defeat dracoliches on the last day. Also had to retreat from enhanced utopia on day 11. (I had lvl 16 hero +Temple guardian +5*1 imps versus 45 dragons, w/o summon spells. Normally I win with summoning.)

Power Demon Farming
I hope my last weekend experience belongs in this thread.
Eons ago I played inferno the last time before last weekend, so my knowledge about it was a bit rusty. Demon farming was not yet quite effective with my two first heroes, when I was offered Tazar in my tavern. I hired him, advanced him in levels -> expert armorer, when to my dismay the next advancement offered navigation and first aid. I opted for first aid, grabbed a tent and an ammo cart from another hired hero, got advanced first aid (200% resurrection after battle), when the following happened in a battle against a neutral stack:
Sacrificed my 27 imps -> my pit lords resurrected 3 demons -> finished off opponent -> got 5 additional demons after battle due to first aid -> in total 27 imps turned into 8 demons!
Now this I'm calling power demon farming. It appears as if the program forgot that the original troops were imps.
