Rome: Total War
This game... looks awesome. I havenīt got my hands on it yet, since I live in Norway, but Iīm buying it the second it hits the stores here.
This is the interface and game structure I would like to see HOMMV imitate.
Imagine the battles this would produce! Seeing your troops in all their glory, dragons swooping down on poor, unsuspecting peasants, minotaurs hacking away at some soon-to-be firewood dendroids, or a group of skeletons being taken in the rear by a cavalry unit.
Anyway, if HOMMV isnīt a major positive surprise, games like this one might cause me to give up on the whole HOMM franchise.

ive got it. its not MINDBLOWING just yet, but it seems good. unfortunately i am not familiar with the Total War style. but the massive battles look awesome. the graphics are a bit "/ though. the troops have no feet.

The graphics are great imo, and in fact i heard that the History Channel (or something like that) actually used Rome:TW to simulate RL battles in anciet times. Awesome
And as a side note, is it just me or is the navy and naval warfare kinda screwed up?
