New Idea: Play Online Games Against Other HC Members
For those of you that are familiar with TOH. You will know all about the divisions sub-tournament and how cool it is. Well I had an idea that I thought would be fun and would be a great community builder. We would be playing online games against each other and hopefully we would get to know each other better. 
Well let me explain the idea, it is partially inspired by the sub-tournament Divisions and the rest is an idea I've had for years, just never been able to put into action effectively. Imagine a huge map split into many pieces. The idea is to conquer as much of the map as you can.
Each piece of land is your battleground and each battleground is unique. On each square you will play a different online game against your opponent in order to win that piece of land.
So the games may include Starcraft, Warcraft, various other games. There will also be numerous online games to play such as chess, checkers, or any other multiplayer game that's free. We have a huge amount to choose from at MSN gaming zone.

are the online pc games i have currently installed on my laptop. i have others i think somewhere...
great idea RSF, maybe one day XBOX live and stuff could be included, where you can actually TALK to the other HC members, most probably for the first time.

Freeware and flash/shockwave games should be the majority, since practically anyone can play those, unlike Warcraft 3 or UT2k4 (hey, I'm sure I won't be downloadin a game just to play against someone and lose).

Alright I definitely think that the tournament would be much more fun if we had a few games like Homm or another game that everyone really enjoyed that wasn't a silly little online game. However the problem arises. What if someone doesn't own that game? What do we do so they can play that square? My thought is that they would have to play a best of 3 of what we deem as the best online games, like chess, tactics arena online, and pool. Or an alternative CD game would be played instead to the disgression of the two players at the time of the challenge.

i challange someone to something, even though the tourney hasnt started!
*slaps that person with glove*
(its like throwing down the gaunlet, except my gauntlets are too heavy, being titanium and all.. basically means a challenge)

I wouldn't mind playing Alpha Centauri online, or Civ 3.
WC3 is good too, though I kinda suck

Dude this is for playing HC members to get to know them not for just starcraft. I never knew how much fun playing people online at checkers and minesweeper was.
Trust me this will be fun.
