Tazar's skills
Looking at all the topics about Tazar and his skills I want to decide with you all, what skills would you like to Tazar have.
Exactly: Random XL+U (random standart built-in template like 6LM10 or 8XM12), difficulty 200%, 2 humans + 6 computers, all spells allowed (and dd/fly are useful too), but scrolls 4,5 are banned until month 2 ends.
I'd take this:
Armorer
Tactics
Logistics
Wisdom
Earth magic
Air magic
Offense
slot 8
where "slot 8" is archery if it comes to me before 6-8 level or if I have all experts (as Tazar taking lvl 3 having expert armor), or "slot 8" is water magic, if I already have all I need just now.
I'd like to listen for your opinions, people

Well, I like this skills on my Taz:
Armorer
Offence
Leadership or Archery, I'm not sure, pls some H3_Guru tell me whats better
logistics
Wisdom
earthmagic
watermagic
Pathfinding or Diplomacy
Spells? well, teleport, resurrect, cure, bless, slow.. the usefull stuff^^ The heroe-build-topics have really helped me to know whats good to have I think^^

Sure, diplomaty is banned too.
Why not take air magic? You need to control the map with TP/DD/Fly

No, csarmi, I mean that DD/Fly are NOT banned. This is the style of the game what russian plays Exactly, the rules I wrote here are the part of the rules of Moscow Chaos League championship.

XL+under makes pathfinding sound interesting, also i would prefer getting earth magic earlier then wisdom and perhaps earlier than that as it can help you win "impossible" fights early on with a magic book and a slow spell.
As mentioned water magic also is good, but then mostly if you get transport spell and can move your mighty moooo's.

PathFinding
Water Magic
Earth Magic
Wisdom
Rezistance
Rezistance is really cool at the end fight, it cand decide a game + it always makes me chickle.

Tazar starts with armorer, so this is the first skill.
Second and third would be logistics and earth. Long runs and expert earth early in the game raise your chance of winning enormous.
4th would be tactics...helps a lot in any fights...
5th would be offense. At this time, the fights should be harder, so the effect of 30% extra damage is helpful.
6th would be pathfinding, coz underground or "treasure area" (desert) would kill some movement points though.
7th would be artillery. Even with a defense specialist, the time should come, when you find arties and your attack skill should raise above 10 up to 20....and a ballista with attack 10-20 makes same good damage..
8th would be watermagic (cure + bless!!) or ballistic (computer opponent likes castle sitting..)
But nevertheless, i wouldnīt join such a tourney, coz itīs very cheap to built up your mageguild to level 5, get dd, jump 4 times over EVERY guard with only 1 dragonfly on your hero and take opponents town....this has NOTHING to do with playing-skills....and TOWER has much advantage here, coz it has 2 level5 spells...doesnīt sound very balanced..

Because it's cheap compared to the faster units while pretty damn fast?

Well this map has lots of towns I'm assuming if only 6 extra towns. I would hold off as long as you can to see if you what spells you get out of the various mage guilds. Take for example you get beserk. You will get fire magic. Game over. Well only if you already have the recanters or neither of you have it.
That's another important thing to remember, because the choices of what magic you take or don't take could be affected by the artifacts you bear or your opponent bears.

what i was trying to say is that when stealing opponent's main town i usually bring a considerable amount of troops with me.

Sure...but what i was trying to explain was, that u donīt need to build up your town, only get 1 dragonfly and take opponents town with all HIS army in there (not bought)...

gotta ya.
and you know what i find weird?
when i first played heroes of might and magic 3 online, i didn't know/bother to use any rules, then later on my "rule book" grew thicker and thicker, then i even had different set of rules for different maps(against different players),......and finally, somehow, i just started not to care any more, that is, any rule is fine with me as long as its fair to both parties.

Yeah. If games would be say half an hour long then it would be ok. But to play for 5 hours just to realise that the other got dd and you have no chance at all..

I'm sure he'd wear a Recanter's cloak when he has exp fire magic and Beserk in spell book
