Poll Question: Bush ideology is similar to... *?*
Hmm...
IS this correct?
1. According to Bush Ideology, action is better than discussion, force better than talking.
2. According to Bush Ideology, its us vs them, one country/(religion too?) against another. Evildoers vs GoodDoers.
3. According to Bush Ideology, the country should be governed by an elite (his friends in corporations) and not by democracy (the election stuff).
Are these 3 true?
If so it's really scary, because do you happen to know another famous ideology that has these 3 cornerstones? omg O_o

In order to understand Iraq, and in order to understand Bush, you need to understand a right-wing think tank called PNAC (Project for the New American Century). Learn about PNAC HERE.
When the Cold War ended, our conservative military strategists decided that American troop strength around the globe needed to be re-aligned and re-deployed. No need to defend Western Europe, for example, but a great need to defend the Middle East. PNAC was looking for any excuse to create permanent US military bases in the Middle East. In 2000, in an election that was probably stolen, PNAC got a President who was amenable to their cause, but who was too weak to actually put their plan into action. However, on 9/11, when the World Trade Center was hit, that President became strong, nationally. PNAC saw its chance, and convinced Bush to invade Iraq (nice flat land, good for our tanks and planes, right in the middle of the Middle East, and right on top of 20% of the world's oil reserves). So, we made up excuse after excuse ... and we attacked.
As we speak, the US is currently building 14 permanent milatary bases in Iraq. Iraq will be an American puppet state and a long-term staging ground for military operations in the Middle East for many years to come.
Bush, for his part, believes in a ruling elite (an oligarchy) that controls not just the US, but the world. IMHO, answer #3 is correct.

What is so fundamentally wrong with that?
The United States finally learned that their military bases in Europe were serving only one purpose: economic support for the struggling European economies. With all these new military bases in Iraq and the Persian Gulf region, now the United States can support the economies of Middle East, plus have some on-site influence and control over the oil producing countries. Sounds like a good deal to me.

Where are the Voices of Reason?
OK. Since nobody has replied to my ignorant, self-serving post in regards to this situation, I will help you out...
Khayman! Nothing fundamentally wrong? Are you crazy? Those bases will be paved by thousands of lives of innocent women and children, not to mention American soldiers dying for an unjust cause! You should be ashamed of yourself! Don't you care about your fellow human beings whose lives have been devalued to the point that the quest for natural resources and global domination has outweighed the price of human life! I hope you die a painful death, even worse than the suffering endured by those innocent people. Have fun in hell with President Bush, Donald Rumsfeld, and the rest of unconscious America!

Guys, its the same cornerstones as fascism and nazism.. This century will truly be a test for democracy and global compassion, if these thoughts can arise in what was supposed to be the crown jewel of the free world.

Wolfman,
You don't seem to understand a fundamental fact of internet users. This is a computerized setting for people to gather and share ideas that are similar. Most of the americans using the internet are into big conspiracy theories, debates, and other such idealogical cloak and dagger philosophies. That's why you mostly see paganists, Universal Unitarians, and people who really live in their own little world. Most internet users are not very old, reject mainstream society, and not too physically fit.
I think you should remind yourself that the internet is this whole seperate affair aside from the real world. People can say whatever they want and it matters to no one. And there's nothing wrong with that. Don't you remember Howard Dean? He was getting a large portion of online users informed and interested in the political process. The polls were showing him raising thousands of dollars for his campaign. When it came time to see how many internet people actually vote, the truth revealed itself. The truth is internet users would rather remain in their own little worlds than become politically active and seek to change this country or the world for the better. Maybe these people feel ostracized by society, maybe they don't like crowds, or maybe they think everyone else is crazy and they are the sane ones. Who knows. I am no exception to this. That's also why I'm here. I despise mainstream but know it's simply the way things are. I also dislike shovanistic sports-goers and others like them.
It's no big deal to visit the internet and see people talking about X-files and conspiracies. I think you'll find more people talk about it here on the internet than anywhere else.

... but fascism is not a conspiracy theory. It's real, and it's a real possibility (not just in America, but anywhere). I can assure you that there were a lot of Germans who would have never believed that their state could become fascist. Now they believe it.
We must always be on guard ...

This is without-a-doubt the most logical observation I have ever seen from you, Consis. Spoken like a true CyberPimp.
Also keep in mind that the Internet is a haven for individuals where they can avoid the conformist pressures of society, which allows them to be either A their true self or B someone they are not. I am happy to see all of you CyberPoliticians are taking an interest in the future of the Real World. Keep up the good work. Don't forget to make it to the polls so your voices can be heard somewhere besides CyberSpace, and always remember...

Laelth,
My sister lives in Georgia and I live on the other side of the country from both you and her. I guess that's life. But if I lived over there, you'd be the first person I'd set up a regularly scheduled movie night with. We're talking about some really good X-file movies and episodes. I know we'd have a blast. I'll supply the soda if you supply the chips. Hehe, oh well, there's no chance of me making it out that far away from Oregon. But you should know that I think we'd have a blast as old as we are and as young as we act. Oh, and don't forget the heroes games we could play. That would be fierce.
Oh and TheUltimateMale, thanks for the love baby. Right back atcha
