To Angelito :D

I wonder if you could tell once again what were the different definitions of beard in german? I found them quite amusing, and also interesting, but unfortunately, I have forgotten them :/

I would really appreaciate an answer

Regards
LL

Thx what about beard only below the mouth? I mean that kinda beard the feminin guys wear

Maybe it's interesting to have the Norwegian words up too?

Beard = skjegg

Beard all over the face = helskjegg

Beard only on the chin = kinnskjegg (mainly in use by the feminin and maybe even doubtful guys, consider that in the way you want

Beard only between nose and lips = Bart

Not shaved for 3 days = skjeggstubbær (thats more accent I guess )

The Macedonian words:
Beard = brada
Beard all over the face = brada
Beard only on the chin = brada
Not shaved for 3 days = brada
Lower jaw (in German - Kinn) = brada

Guess we're not beard obsessed nation as some furheads here.

There´s also the beard on chin AND on the space between nose and lips. In german it´s called: Gesichtsfotze.

Well, I never heard the work Gesichtsf*tze before bisdes, its a rather "bad language" word No 'real' name for it as Kinnbart and such.

Stoppelbart, Lord_Lazy, is lets say pre-version of the 3 Tage Bart, I would say

Stoppelbart = 3-Tage-Bart

And the beard Lewis mentioned (mixture of chin and Schnautzer) is the beard Bruce Willis has in most of his movies.. But the name Lewis gave him (in german) is very vulgar and it's NOT called like this in common..

interesting, from the best out of my knowledge in german my guess would be if you try and get the words "beard" and "fotze" in the same sentence it would be the beard at "a floor down" on a girl?

Gesichtfotze, huh. Now that you mentioned it, I'm even more willing to learn its etymology.
I wonder if my German teacher knows what it means. Well, there's only one way to find out. Actually two ways. Do you think I should just ask her or compliment her on her lovely Gesichtfotze?

Yes we have the Simpsons in germany, and Bart is called Bart as well. They don´t change personal names, but sometimes it would be necesary, for example:

Johnny Depp

Depp is a bavarian (south german dialect) word, which means dork, idiot, fool

just to mention...
