There's this other one that I heard about. It works if you play 12 life or less. I'm not up to date on banned cards, but here goes:

- Black Lotus
- Ball Lightning
- Forest
- Berserk

Whip down the Lotus and Forest. Sac the Lotus for 3 red, casting Ball Lighting. Put Berserk on it to double power and attack. 12 Damage. Plain and simple. (Ball Lightning: 6/1 Haste. At end of turn, sacrifice Ball Lightning.)

I won't lie. All of my combos involve cards printed before 3rd Edition. So sue me. I stopped playing at Homelands, and only got a mild refresher at around Onslaught's release. If anyone has any modern ones, that would be cool. Apparently, you can get some crazy combos with Tolarian Academy (Tap: Add 1 blue mana to your mana pool for every Artifact you control.). I read somewhere about people generating infinte amounts of mana by turn 3, so toss in a Braingeyser (Target Player draws X cards) and it's over in a hurry.

Oh yeah, for sure. I mean 10 second game is no fun, iI just think it's neat to try and figure out all the early kill combos. Plus, it's not too likely many of us will be getting their hands on a Black Lotus any time soon.

well youve met one

im really cocky when its competitive

i have been tought many lessons in my times of cockyness but i find a way to make the deck better and try again

the trick is to make a deck to beat infinity worlds, moloku spelling sucks, and tooth and nail, ill through in white winnie.

you do that and your good but in must tournements power nine is ban.

i will later make a list of cards corrently in my white winnie deck and see if you can help me out on it i have been playing only for four months.

When was in the game I had a pretty good blue/white deck with lot's of fliers and lot's of controlling-stuff. It wasn't that bad. Bad it was like 3 or 4 years ago, so I think things have changed a lot in this game.

I've got a good second turn kill.

Tireless Tribe:
http://magictg.com/magiccard.asp?card=15559

About Face:
http://magictg.com/magiccard.asp?card=6223

In case your opponent plays a to block creature you can also play fling, which is basically Sword of the Ages for one creature.

Fling:
http://magictg.com/magiccard.asp?card=910

I currently made a white blue control deck. It has a strong emphasis on creatures. These are my anti-creature cards.

Propaganda
Peacekeeper
Swords to Plowshare
Exile
Confiscate
Boomerang

I have two types of counterspells.

Counterspell
Power Sink

My problem is playing red burn/unaffected decks.

The only cards I truly have for direct damage spells are my counterspells and I also added in a few other cards that I simply don't have enough of only one of each.

Misdirection
Willbender
Reverse Damage

I'm wondering that if I took out boomerangs, peacekeeper and sideboarded in enough so that I had 4 of each of these, then another good counterspell.

My current method of a kill constant has been Prodigal Sorceror and Energy Vortex, which is too slow especially for those balanced decks that have a few tricks up their sleaves.

My plan is to add in Mishra's Helix, so I can't take out their mana sources. This will most certainly help against that burn deck. It may be five mana, but when I can play misdirection for no mana and I have counterspells and reverse direction that should get me to when I can play it. The next turn I shut down all their mana. Then I can get out energy vortex. I'm thinking of getting rid of those prodigal sorcerors and putting in psychic venom, so when I tap all their lands with Mishra's Helix they take 2 damage every turn on top of the 3 from Energy Vortex.

My question is if there would be a more efficient kill constant. Or maybe a better way to deal with the burn deck. Basically I find in just about every deck I make that I always have a lot of trouble with the burn deck.

Type 2 is too expensive. I just play Type 1 rules with my friends. They go to a lot of tournaments though.

Here's another goody.

Psycatog
Upheaval
Circular Logic

Wait until you have lots of permanents out in play and the three cards above in your hand, then tap 3 mana, one black, one blue, and one of any other. Now, tap 6 mana, at least 2 blue, and play Upheaval. Now, play an Island and use the mana still in your pool to play Psychatog. Then discard enough cards to get down to 7, but make sure you have Circular Logic in your hand.

Now, it's your opponent's turn. He'll play one land. If he tries to cast a spell, like a creature, or a burn on your Psychatog, use Madness, Psychatog's ability and Circular Logic. Now his one mana is tapped. If he didn't cast a spell, that's OK too.

Your turn. Now, discard everything in your hand except Circular Logic, and remove all but one card in your graveyard from the game. This gives Psycatog at least +9/+9. And if you had 21 cards in your graveyard, then you can remove all but one and have Psychatog at 20/21. Attack. If your opponent casts something like Unsummon or Fog, blow it away with Circular Logic.

Game Over.

Worldgorger Dragon
Animate Dead
Entomb
Ancient Hydra

Basically you just play a reanimater deck. You use some creature or something to discard to Worldgorger Dragon into your graveyard. Or you can play Entomb and search your library to put it into your graveyard.

Then use Blood Pet and sac it for mana or just play Entomb again. You want to have a second creature in your graveyard.

Cast Animate Dead on the Worldgorger Dragon. Worldgorger comes into play and you remove all other permanents you control from the game. This includes Animate Dead, so Worldgorger Dragon goes back into the graveyard and all your permanents come back into play untapped. But Animate Dead needs a new target. Choose Worldgorger Dragon and do it again. You can get infinite mana doing this. You can cast a Drain Life for 50,000. Or you can deal damage using Ancient Hyrda. You simply remove 4 counters from Ancient Hydra and deal 4 damage to your opponent, then Declare the new target for Animate Dead. This allows you to kill all your opponents at once. Or you could use a Fireball and pay the extra colorless to split it up between your opponents.

Once upon a time I was very good at magic. I did have the power 9 but was better at type 2 which indeed is more expensive in the long run. Like rychenroller I do the rare draft or sealed these days too and it still goes well even if it's very confusing. It's fun, but sometimes I regret I put so much time into it.

I pretty much keep my spendings pretty damn low on Magic.

The best way to do that is to buy Booster Boxes of standard editions. I bought a booster Box of Seventh and a few packs of it individually.

Here's what I got.

Birds of Paradise, Mahamodi Djinn, Confiscate, Serra Angel, Blanchwood Armor, Glorious Anthem, Coat of Arms, 2 Longbow Archer, Intrepid Hero, Worship.

This doesn't even get into all the wonderful base cards that you get. The commons, etc. Cards like Stone Rain, Llanowarr Elves, Duress, Ostrasize.

I've probably left out numerous cards, but at least half the cards in my decks are from 7th.
