Frankly I'm disappointed.
I clicked on this thread for a useful tutorial on disarming atom bombs with my teeth, a skill that would come in handy if I ever found myself with a live atom bomb, and me minus my atom bomb defusing kit.
And then there's this horribly off topic post about no plan in the pentagon.....bah.

A) Mozilla users, beware. The Flash movie freezes every few seconds, requiring a reload and watching the whole thing from the beginning.
B) Okay, conspiracy theorists...If American Airlines Flight 77 didn't hit the Pentagon, if that damage was caused by something else as proposed here, where did Flight 77 go? The video doesn't address that. Also, the quotes they provide, even selectively chosen as they are to bolster the theory, illustrate the unreliability of eyewitnesses -- they quote someone who *does* think he saw an American Airlines jet hit the building. In other words, they kind of undermine themselves there, even as they undermine the official story. Heaven knows I don't trust everything coming out of the Defense Department, White House, government in general, but this alternative seems half-baked.
C) Spiffy conspiracy music.

I couldn't believe the conspiracy rumors that floated around after 911. It seemed too horrible to be true that anyone would do this to their own country and people.
Another part of me says that there are some folks who will do anything to get and hold power. Truthfully, without the "war-time I'm going to protect you where he can't card" that was played over and over again in this election, Bush never would have won.
Having watched enough mysteries on TV, I know in a murder they look for who benefits from it as being a prime suspect. So who benefits? Certainly an incumbent president
who watched his daddy's ratings drop after the first Gulf War was over. Shades of "Wag the Dog"!
Still, I find the above thought really horrible to consider. Perhaps only the God that George professes to be so close to knows for sure what happened.

Um, Oklahoma City bombing? There are people who will do pretty much anything, no matter how horrible.  [Edit: I see you acknowledge this. I guess my point is that they don't necessarily have to be in power to do so.]
On the tech note: My Mozilla and Flash are both the newest versions, and I'm on a cable connection of some sort. Maybe there was just a strange bug with the combination. In any case, when it froze, hitting "refresh" started it over and let it play a few seconds more. When my patience got shot, though, I had no problems with the evil IE...just in case anyone else runs into the same problem.

True, it is over the top, but there are many facts in there that can be easily referenced and found to be true. The pics, for example... And they didn't bolster their theory so much as discredit the official story, which was done quite effectively. It's rather clear that, regardless of what really hit the Pentagon, it wasn't a jumbo jet.

If there is a motive to such madness, it would be to create a situation where they could manipulate and control things. Witness the use of fear as an election advertising tool in the Repub campaign.

Yeah, just figure out your government policies, then have Ronald McDonald advertise them for you.
Seriously, look at how close the election was, as a tool to get the American voters on his side - bombing the Pentagon wouldn't have been the way to go.

The WTC had already been hit. Why add an attack on the Pentagon? If you're going to argue "Wag the Dog" here, I think you need to account for the Twin Towers, and they did get hit by jets.
And I'm still wondering where Flight 77 did go in this scenario. The movie is quite effective in making the case that airplanes don't just vanish into thin air. The people on that flight had families. The government couldn't just take a random flight and claim it went down if it didn't. And, if they "disappeared" Flight 77, why not use it to hit the Pentagon? Seriously. Why cause a whole commercial flight to vanish just so you can hit the building with a different aircraft/missile, when there's already been a huge attack elsewhere anyway? This just doesn't make sense.
The more I think about it, the more it seems likely that the video was put together by non-experts in aircraft crash forensics. This sort of nonsense happens all the time with astronomy-related topics (Moon Landing Hoax claims, etc) out of ignorance. Add some political spin, and I can easily see it happening in a case like this as well.

Well, I have as deep a hatred for Bush as the next guy, but this one just doesn't hold water. I personally know people who saw the plane hit. These aren't stupid people, they know the difference between a plane and a missle. Regarding the "not much damage" argument, the pentagon, in addition to being an office building also just happens to be built like a fortress. Of course, I don't expect people to believe me since I don't have as nice graphics as the other websites.

Well come on all of you. The glory of participating in a conspiracy theory is you can let your imagination run rampant, and give life to some of those deep rooted fanatasies, ...er fearful delusions...that are buried deep within you..but I guess rationality is winning out here and there is no hope..maybe it was a ufo that crashed into the Pentagon

Asmodean, i wanted people to see the flash movie very quickly so i could get feedback, because i didn't know what to think, and i know there is people on this community which has way more info on this than me.
So what i needed was a catchy name people would click, and yes. It worked!
Please keep it comming.. i'm still not all that sure.. (but i'm leaning towards the other side now )
