If anyone offered me to be a Vampire, I'd take it in a second.
Are you kidding? eternal life, living in a big house, doing what you want all day, power, need I say more?

I read a shorter series of books on vamps called Cirque Du Freak, and that would portray what i'd want to be. That version of a half vampiress...

Being a Vampire would be cool.
Except, you would have to kill innocent people all the time, you could never see the sunrise or sunset, you could never see your reflection (which could make it tough to brush your teeth).

a few other problems with being a vamp is u realy couldn't do what u wanted all day, maybe all night ya, but people gotta sleep sometime, and u wouldn't be able to go to some of ur family gatherings because its during the day (atleast mine are), and at night ud be out drinking some snow dry.
but other than that i think it be interesting.

Besides, Vampires, as other undead, are unable to feel anything. Sure, this makes you immune against all such of nasty things such as pain, but it would also remove all joy, love and other happy feelings from you. And I, for one, wouldn't want that.

Goths are one of the more athetic sub cultures, imo. Ok, I, too, love wearing black clothes and litening to dark and heavy music, but putting white make up and stuff in your face, and all the other stuff? Nah, that's not for me...

Theres certain history behind "vampires" which made the Europeans which IYY spoke of come up with the idea.
Not sure where or what nationality these people were (I was told but I forgot... probably because I wasn't paying any attention) but there was a certain community somewhere in Europe (I'm being vague, I know) in actual history which aroused the idea of a vampire.
First of all, these people via heredity had acquired a certain gene which made them very sensitive to the sun.
Also, due to heredity, these people lacked a lot of iron in their blood, and to maintain a healthy diet the would have needed to eat red meat in large quantities, and feel the urge to oftentimes.
Both of these are traits of the fabled "vampires" that people speak of, being afraid of the sun and the drinking blood/eating meat. I dunno, just a random thought. True though.
I think the garlic part was made up, and being afraid of holy stuff is probably just attained from the thought that they killed people which must be evil so that they would be afraid of such that cleanses evil.
I dunno. I'll quit rambling.

along with ur myths & stuff didn't old europeans dig up graves because they thought the dead were getting out and killing, and they started beliving it because the dead had long finger nails and hair.

You're probably right. We Europeans are a stupid, superstitious bunch, who wouldn't have flinched if we had to dig up the grave of old aunt Sally to beat a stake through her rotting corpse...
The history of superstitions and myths are interesting

Has someone been playing Vampire: The Masquerade, or something?
It's hard to say that something that's fiction to begin with, is wrong, but I think this is a one time thing. At least I've never heard anything of it, and I've read quite a lot about vampires ("Know your enemy, and you will never be defeated in a thousand battles" - Sun Tzu)...

Vampires CAN feel stuff, thats what puts them aside compared to most Undead. They can think for themselves(in most cases) and know what to do. They feel, they know, they are. And vampires can be out at day, just no in direct sunlight.. which means, COVER YOUR BODY WITH CLOTHES, plus sunglasses. you'll look ridiculous but you can get out.
I'd like to be a vampire.. The only downside IMO must be the constant thirst for blood.
