Scandinavian Royal League
It's been started and third round is half played I have really looked forward to this tournament for a loooong time now, And the tournament is moving just like anyone with some knowledge of the teams should know it would
Group A
Team Matches Points
1. Vålerenga 3 9
2. Rosenborg 3 4
3. Djurgården 2 1
4. Esbjerg FB 2 0
Group B
Team Matches Points
1. IFK Göteborg 3 6
2. FC København 2 4
3. Brøndby 2 3
4. Tromsø 3 1
Group C
Team Matches Points
1. Brann 2 6
2. Halmstad 3 4
3. Malmo FF 3 3
4. OB 2 1
There have been lots of discussion and many pessimistic thoughts about it, but afterall I think this tournament have done well this far, with no big surprises at all
I will post my thoughts for winner and also my thoughts for who will advance to next round
Winner: Vålerenga - no doubt the best team in scandinavia at the moment, havent lost a game since July, and it also seems likely that the team will get to keep Steffen Iversen.
Advance from groupA:
Vålerenga and Rosenborg, this is not Norwegian thoughts, just simply the two best teams in the group, possibly also the two best in scandinavia, although, some swedes will have hard to believe that Still a fact that Swedens best team got theyr butts kicked against number 3 in Norway Norwegian teams will dominate the tournament
Advance from groupB:
This is a tough one, Tromsø is out, I think IFK with it's new trainer is in a nice move atm, thus they will reach the second stages Also, as second I bet on Brøndby, but will be close
Advance from groupC:
Brann is safe, the swedes best team Malmo really did dissapoint today, with 4-1 loss to Brann, Still I think They will advance. Brann and Malmo from this group
Betting tournament ya, know it's lame to start two rounds into the tournament but never to late so bladdiblabet
December 5
Djurgården - Esbjerg Home
OB - Brann Draw
FC København - Brøndby Draw
ALthough even lamer, there will be like 2 months till next match, nuff time for exuses for the sucky swede teams
Edit: Prices for betting tournament is not chosen yet, but will probably be a blessing from the tournament holder himself

The final will probably be Rosenborg (Über Alles!) vs. Vål'enga, unless they meet in the quarter/semi; then it all depends on which team has the best form on the days of the games. I hope for Rosenborg, but I fear that Vålenga will be a hard nut to crack, with Steffen Iversen in the form he's in, and their midfield. Plus, VIF always got Morten "Moviestar" Berre up their sleeve; if it's 1-1 or something like that, they'll just try to get him into the box, where he'll drop as if he was shot dead if anyone as much as touches him...

Not so strange, since they've been in the CL almost every year (I think it was last year they only made it to the Qualification rounds.. lost margianlly to Deportivo, I think) for the last 11 years or so...

haha, ya, I dun like Berre as well. As you said, Rosenborg and Vålerenga is the two best teams in scandinavia. I read in a forum that swedes planned to not watch RoyalLeague, because the swede teams would win easily haha
The skills of the other scandinavian leagues have dissapointed me much, but what were to be expected? The Danish couldnt qualify for third qualifying round to CL lol, losing at home to some slovenian team or something 4 or 5 0 at home
I think though, the danish teams will improve during theyr season, but the swedes are just hopelessely bad. Still quite excited though. I have been a semi Rosenborg fan for most my life (Odd is in top though ) but will have to realise that Vålerenga is the best team in Norway at the time beeing. Finally they switched JOhnsen with Rønningen, helped alot, he's a much safer choice. I think the Rosenborg team will need a little more time before they reach old heights again, and they also needs to put themselves in respect, and show the other Norwegian teams who have the money to actually compete in the european leagues
You need to bet too foo

Bet? Gambling is a sin, man!
Johnsen and Rønningen... Hmmm. I have a soft spot for Johnsen, and he's not really a bad goalie, he's just been unlucky. We'll see now, if they use Rønningen a few more matches, how good he is. He was good in Brann (why don't they get a new keeper???), and I guess he just needs some match practise to be back on top.
Btw, it shouldn't take much for Rosenborg to beat the other teams now, when they beat Esbjerg with Tettey on the field, lol.
Odd, eh? You know why Rosenborg has black and white as thir colours? It's cos their great idols from the early 1900s had those colours... (I'm speaking of Odd here )
