The random map issue
I've started playing again some games with my best friend, and we both love playing randoms.
There is an issue however that seriously affects balance in random maps (even in specific templates), and that is the spell scrolls.
There is no corellation between the defenders of the scroll and the power of the spell. You can find 30 rocks defending a counterstrike scroll, and a measely horde of centaurs defending an implosion scroll. And this is not the first time this has happened.
So anyway down to my question:
Is there any way to remove lvl 4 and 5 spell scrolls from the random map generator, or spell scrolls all together for that matter?

Short answer: NO
The "number value" of the level 4 and 5 scrolls start about 4000 and 5000... You can try to exclude all numbers between 4000 and 12500, then u probably won´t find any level 4 and 5 scrolls on the map....but u will neither find nagabanks, level 5 or higher dwellings, relics, and much more stuff will be missing.
So the best way to get the balance back is, to rule out those scrolls fro both parties...

Scrolls was always a nono, purely for the fact that they have such weak guards....I've never seen 30 rocs on a spell scroll exclusively, maybe there was a small artie there as well. I remember one vividly against midnight where we WERE playing with scrolls and I found town portal guarded by 80 skel warriors on about day 4....speaks for itself really.
