An Odd Bug
Just now, I noticed a rather strange bug. It has to do with the number of pages a thread has when it reaches 20 replies. Rather than explain it in words, take a look:
First of all, notice that it only has one page, according to this pic, the main page. Notice also that IYY started it and Xarfax111 is the last poster.
But, here, it says that there are 2 pages.
This is the very bottom of the page, but notice that it is not Xarfax111, but Lord_Woock.
ASIDE: I've also noticed in other threads that occasionally, a page of replies will be blank. It will say something like 10 pages, but the 10th page will have no replies there, just empty space. Sorry no pics for this one, this happened a couple weeks ago at TT, the 80th page (at that point the last page) was blank.
Here's the last post, by Xarfax111. But on the second page, even though, according to the main page, the first pic, that there is only one page of replies.
Anyone know what's up with this?

I've noticed that too... except in reverse... it happened once with the Tell the Truth thread, on the forum view screen it said there were 49 pages, but when I clicked on the number 49 it brought me to a blank page 49. I had to go to page 48 to find any text.

Yeah, I saw that on Tosser's Tavern. Here it is again, just now.

In the instance of the reverse example, I've seen that quite often when I am spam cleaning - while i reduce the number of pages in a thread by disposing of the spam - the listed number of pages sometimes doesn't update immediately.
This holds no bearing on the first example tho, as i know for certain I didn't clean that one at all.

It has something to do with the counter on how many replies there are. It lists the number of replies and then the first page divides it in 20 to get the number of pages, but a page can only have 20 posts and the first one is never counted until you open the thread so every time there's 20, 40, 60 etc posts there will be an extra page when you open a thread. I haven't seen it on any other board, adding a 1 somewhere in the code for the first page should fix it, but I dunno where since the few things I learned about programming are forgotten now.

Good eyes! I remember seeing something similar to the "first post doesn't count" thing on another board. There was a race for the 10,000th post on the board, and I was spectating.
When it reached 9999, the admin created a new post, claiming victory, but the number didn't go up. Same idea here I guess.
