Decriminilize genitals
Why is it that "pen!s" and "vag!na" are still censored? I mean, if I want to mention these organs in a post (which i did couple fo times), which is perfectly normal (even in schoolbooks for 9yearolds), I am censored. They're not offensive surely. U dont see poeple often saying to each other "Oh, u pen!s!" or so.
on the other hand, u can always say the offensive "dick" and "puss" and they r not censored. :confused:
Or we should just use highly metaphorical terms like "stick", "hole" etc for communication, which i think is worse.
so, if we cant put words like "p***s" and "v****a" in our mouth then what should we?
hmm, on a second thought, dont answer that. 
anyway, decriminalize genitals, what do you think?

Good point, I was planning also on a review of censoring system.
On a funny note. We have things like COC, FAQ and PP. FAQ and COC usually offend people to whom they are said, so perhaps those words should be censored. PP on the other hand usually arouses much curiousity and allows people to develop more intimacy and understanding.

correction: It truns out that vagina isnt censored, unlike her partner. pandora and i discussed this over IM, and cant figure out why val made it so.

To uphold the COC, one must use a Very Generous Neutral Approach. You people have dirty minds seeing dirty words everywhere and stop looking at abbreviations of everything I say. Read all my posts in this thread and conclude that I haven't said a single dirty thing.

While this subject is here, may I note there is another censored word which causes practical problems:
"If you ***** us, do we not bleed?" -- Shakespeare (sort of).
"*****le" is a forbidden sensation. "Tickle" is okay.

It's true that if handled properly, the coc can be a very powerful tool indeed. We have to remember not to take it too lightly, or to uphold it with too much force.

hmmm
Earlier we had so many good and interesting threads here in tavern...
Now its most popular seem to be why vagina isnt a bad word while its "friend in action" is.

and that wasnt meant in a funny way
this place could really use some new members, new ideas.. or whatever.
is boring.

This post wasnt made as an attack on this thread but rather the quality of tavern nowadays as a whole.

and dont gimme no "if you dont like it, try to improve it" speach now. I have tried that by making a thread of my own that could and would have worked out great if it wasnt for first the girl in question went AWOL. and then when she got back there were no interest.
Ive also try to keep tossers tavern alive and i do my occational tossing here.
But the conversations and material as a whole now is just plain boring.
so here are the options
1) we ackowledge the problem and try to fix it together.
2) we pretend there is no problem and keep going
3) you dont think/wanna see there is a problem here and this is just my opinion.
Either way.. let me know if you agree with me on 1 here.
Now after making this post i realise the place to put it might should have been the feedback thread, on other hand i doubt many read it anymore as it people think of it as boring so to gain attention maybe its better put here anyways.
