In/Out List
I know (hope) that the Heroes V development started already. Maybe is too late to give ideas. I think there is hundreds of threads about new creatures, castles, etecetra. But I propose something a little different. All the heroes games (from I to IV) are different. But they all have some things in commom that make the series unique.
So, let's choose/opine about what should be and what should not be in Heroes V. Nothing that is not present in the hole series can be included. No new castles, new creatures, nothing new.
By highlighting the things we like in the Heroes series, we can help to make a better sequence.
What should be included:
- The upgrade path from H4,
- The H4 magic system,
- The multi-upgrade from H2,
- The caravan system from H4,
- The not-static neutral creatures from H4,
- The line of sight for shoother and magic H4,
- The counter attack from H4,
What should not be included:
- The SE-NW battlefield position,
- The stupid upgrade names from H2-4 (King Something, Queen Something),
With best regards,
PS: I was a little bored of this long time without news, so I decided to create this thread. Feel free to criticize me.

4. Style of heroes' portraits (3,4)
5. Availability of good map editor (esp. 3)
6. Moat damage/movement end (3)
7. Battlefield layout (1,2,3)
8. No town symmetry (1,2,3)
9. Good music (1,2,3,4)
10. Grail finding/structure (3)
11. Dragon Utopia (3)
12. Dragon alignment w/ towns (3)
13. Peasants, for the Necro's (2,3)
14. Conflux town??? (3)
15. Campaign editor options (3)
16. Most of what we got in Heroes 3 (3 duh)
Live-Withouts:
1. Most changes Heroes 4 had (4 duh)
2. Possibly the Learning skill (3)
3. Conflux town??? (3)
4. Multiple patches needed upon release (4)
5. All that junk I failed to remember to mention (...)
To emphasize my point in getting them to make the fifth game as good as possible, I was tempted to post the keeps for every single creature, artifact, town, spell, hero, skill, and location I could think of. That might be extreme, but anything to get the order correct, yeah?

About the counter attack thing, I want to lose that. I do want the attacker to attack first. One of the changes that I liked the least in 4 really. It wasn't as bad as when they destroyed the Battle Isle series,(where you first had a move round and the next round was an attack round, to move and attack in the same round,) but I still would like that to go away.

I think that it makes the game a little more balanced. As Draco said in the post above yours, I don't like the idea of an invencible army. I know that is just a game, but makes more sense when, for example, 5000 Peasants atack a Black Dragon that some of them perish. It makes harder to win a battle without any lost.
