Item sets question?
Hey, just downloaded WOG the other week and think its awesome, how couldnt I? But there is one thing that I have problems with, it seems item sets are set to spawn like normal items? For example the other day I took the dragon utopia and was awarded with both angelic alliance and titans thunder, which basically killed an otherwise challenging game. Is there an option to prevent complete sets from spawning spontaneously?

There is an option to ban combination artifacts(the last page with options) but i don't know if it will work with dragon utopias. You should try it yourself.

Were you perhaps WoGifying a non-SoD map?
It wasn't until SoD that combo artifacts were included, and by default, they're not banned in those maps, so if you play those maps with an SoD, H3 Complete, or WoG executable, the combo artifacts are treated just like any other relic for a availability purposes.
In other words, you would get the same result playing any RoE or AB map under SoD--not just with WoG.
To fix this problem, first load the map into the map editor and resave it as SoD (or WoG) -- I think this automatically sets those artifacts to disabled, but you can check in the Map Specifications (Artifacts tab) to be sure.

Ah, that sounds sound. Note that i dont want to ban sets entirely, since they add another dimension to the game, just dont want them to be given of for "free." Anyways, thanks alot for the fast replies!

If you are playing on a fixed map the all you need to do is open up the map editor. Go to tools select map specifications and then artifacts.
All you do then is to make sure that the combos are unchecked. Once they are unchecked you will not find them even in topias, but you will be able to assemble them from their parts. The map giant war is a good example. You will note in the map specs that all boxes are ticked, and when you play you can get combos complete in topias.
In an online game even if only one of you is using version 1.4 then neither of you will be able to assemble combos.
this is the only way to make it not possible.
With random maps even if you generate a SOD map using the editor you will never find complete combos. They are unchecked in the map specs by default, i just ran some tests and everthing i am saying checks out.
hope this helps.
