Router problems

Hey people. I'm on a wireless connection through a router, and I want to set up an internet game, but I can't figure out my IP address, or whether I need a temporary IP address or something. Gamespy does not seem to work for me with this game. can anybody help?

P.S. Are there any special ports you have to open up to play HOMM3 through a firewall? (Hardware firewall on router).
