How about the bad things YOU did ??
Since I discovered this community, about 2 months ago, I have found in several posts players accusing each other of cheating, bad manners, lack of respect and so on.
And, of course, there were all those posts about things that can ruin a good game. I posted such a topic myself.
So...He he...well, I think everyone did, voluntarily or not, a mistake that could be qualified as "not honourable" during his carrier in TOH. Huh...maybe not everyone
Therefore, I submitt this post hoping that you all will admitt here some of those mistakes...Not as a "mea culpa"...I actually think that this could help or prevent others from doing the same things.
Hmmm...maybe you are not willing to admitt these things and this is really a stupid post...

Well it would have been more motivating if u started with yours, hehe...
Anyway few days ago played with Eliogabalus (oops, sorry i posted a name here, thats ill-mannered, huhh?) on bob with all rnd, and i got fortress, he rampart and Kyrre. I said 'K, i go and report now' with a smiley and when he asked if we should go again with me rnd and he keeping the same, i accepted his offer. I got tower and got beaten, though barely (thx to his recanters), hmm guess its 'not honorable' to accept a second chance, huhh? ohh crap, i must have said 'no plz, no! dont force me to start again, i want fortress!! i love those smelly swamp-dwellers, especially Tiva, with his eagle eye specialty...' Umm, err, i just thought it would be nice from me if my 1st post was such honorable, i admit, i made a mistake, sorry Eliogabalus.
But frankly (btw Frank is Frank cause he is frank, or he was just christened Frank by his parents?) i think no one will admit seriously anything, even if he had done it, but some will make fun of it, like me. I hope...

Yes...probably no one will admitt enything serious.
But here are my mistakes, as you asked me:
1. In my first games for TOH I used the map-editor. Well, not in my very first one, but in the next 2 or 3 games I did. The reason was really dumb and childish. I was quite impressed by TOH, and thought that all the players here must be extremly skillfull...and I really wanted to win. This is stupid...but I am quite ashamed.
2. I played a random with Revelations, some time ago...he was amusing and intelligent and I enjoyed the whole game. I lost. He had found the sword of judgement...and judged me with it. After the game I checked my save...and I couldn't see the sword. It was not on the map, it was not on his heroes...so I started accusing him and quite offended him...until I realized that I had saved during his turn and the datas were not updated...
That made me feel really stupid.

u should not be ashamed for using the editor (of course u mean that u looked the map during the game, right?), cause lots and lots of players use it. I think if u dont want to memorize the map (which would be stupid) and want a competitive game, u should accept its use. There were games i played where we specially agreed with my opponent not to use it. It was fun, like playing my friend both choosing fortresses on dw (its kinda hard to be quick with it) or rnd maps. So that wasnt a serious one
The other one is just quick judgement and that isnt a shame, u just have to keep a cool head.

Using map editor?
Hmm... I of course assume the same as Pushkin that you mean you opened it and played along with it in your game? I know many people that do this, and I even do it myself if I haven't played a map in a long time, but I have almost all the maps memorized so usually no need. I think it is a good thing, how can new people compete with someone who has played that map so often they know it by heart? Or those people who specialize in one or two maps, I really dislike those people, I know there seem to be lots more lately. Every time I go on zone I don't get a game because they will only play DW or BM or somthing like that. I don't hate those maps so much I will never play them, but I have noticed people who specialize in maps also are the worst opponents. Either because when they realize they are going to lose on their favorite map they get angry, or else they only know certain types of strategies and as soon as you do something new, they have no idea what to do or again get angry. It's for people who want to win more than have fun. I like to win alot myself, but if it's not fun what is the point? I might as well be at work making money which I can at least use than waste my time upset over some game.
Pushkin- You don't like Fortress I take it? I think DW is a very strong map for them. As long as the Dragon Utopia's aren't guarded by Ghost or Bone Dragons, you can usually get them week 2 or 3. The only problem is speed and sieging your opponent, but if you are quick and your other town is anything except stronghold you should do very well on DW. I have never lost on it as Fortress, but I have lost as Rampart. Never give up so early in a game... ugh- it bothers me even to hear people conceed defeat before playing the first week out at least. So many things can happen to your advantage if you stick around to find out.

Well in the spirit of the thread, Ive done one thing that Im very much ashamed of.
I played Zzorkk on BoB for division, he started out with dungeon pre-set air orb and scroll with chain lightning.
Well I became tower, and got 4 walking deads and 7 gargoyles from my 2 heroes in tavern. Well i played one of my best games ever, got middle town mid week 2, and was way faster than Zzorkk. Only mistake was to show him that I had gotten Titans Cuirass as my relic. Had summon earth and ressurection. Thought hell Ill beat the snow out of him, his main was Gunnar.
When I attacked him I found out that he had gotten recanters, and lost the game.
Instead of taking it as a man, I found out that he started out with town-hall as red, while I didnt. So I seriously said that I would report it for TOH, but not for the div campaign. Zzorkk off course didnt think that was fair (Which it werent), but luckily I sobered up the next day and reported the game. Never did have the chance to say sorry to Zzorkk though.
So here it comes. Sorry Zzorkk I was a jerk, u surely deserved that win, and I behaved like a child, hope Im forgiven.

My sins?
I don't have any. LOL, I'm not joking, I've never used a map editor to look at a map I didn't know (whilst playing it). Matter of fact, I didn't even know you could run the two at the same time! I consider this a form of cheating. I don't know toh maps very well at all, I don't play them for the express purpose of people being able to edit them (if I don't know them very well, you could edit in anything you like and I'd be none the wiser). Secondly, like Ichon said, a lot of players specialize in certain maps, and that for me is no fun. I don't want to memorize a few maps and play them over and over and over again. Starts to feel a bit like tic tac toe I reckon. So I always try and get random games. That way, I can't cheat, the other person can't cheat and everything is okay. I know you're all going to blab about ways you can cheat on randoms, but I'd rather not hear it.
I play for fun, I couldn't care less about winning or losing, if you feel the need to do 'bad things' then you're not really having all that much fun are you?
Heroes is nice, lots of fun to play, but it's not worth losing any sleep over, lol!
The worst thing I ever did was drop out of a room full of newbies before the game was about to begin, stay offline for a few minutes before logging back on to play a ToH game with someone I trust. Makes me feel a bit nasty, but at least I get to play a game with a friend.
I'M SORRY! I WON'T EVER DO IT AGAIN!!!! I SWEAR!!!!
*sob*!

I used the map editor while I was playing a random map, that's why I consider I cheated. Perhaps others do the same, but that doesn't make me feel better. I did it only twice and I will never do it again...
But I would hate to be punished by Elite...ghaah...

LOL, guess u where punished by urself there Ugene. Isnt the point of playing a random map, that u dont know it??? ;P
Sorry just couldnt help myself there. Besides I never play random, for exactly that reason, I hate when I dont know a map, and my main is going in the opposite direction of what he should

I feel bad about this one...
I think the other one should feel ashamed even more...
I was playing hotseat game with one buddy I didn't really know well at my friend's place. Well, I knew the map I was playing. I said I didn't know it but after a while I noticed that I had played the same map already many times before. However I didn't mention this to my opponent.
The game was long and boring but later on the map seemed strange. It wasn't the map I had played ever. Suddenly my heart filled with kinda honor: I wasn't cheating!
Then opponent make some chopping and I was defeated...
I felt for a while that it was right that I lost because I had done such horrible thing and not told to opponent I knew the map. I was really surprised however that I didn't remember the map right as I should have. I was suspicious. Did opponent knew I was playing map I know and then changed it with mapeditor before I came?
Two weeks later my friend gave me email address to post to this opponent to play again. And suddenly it stroke me. There was email address mentioned in map description and it was the same my friend just gave me. I asked about this whole affair but this mapmaker didn't admit anything. He said I knew about the thing already so why complain.
So I wasn't the real "guilty" one here. Or was I? If I had told that I know the map and don't want to play it we could have picked map that we don't know or played random map and maybe I would have won. At least I would have had better chance than now.
True lesson about honor for me...
It flows both ways you know. It doesn't just give something to opponent when you are honorable it might also give something to you.
So honor above else...

I KNEW IT!!!
I knew you were using the map editor when you hosted that random map Ugene and when I exited the game and took it before Deth8 you denied denied denied it.
Even said over and over that you would never do it and how you wanted the points.
I even conceded the game to you because I hate playing with cheaters and now you come on here sounding off about it looking for absolution.
Why couldn't you have just admitted it then when both Deth and I knew you had cheated, instead of lying about it?
Lame!!!

Agree with Mocara
I am in full agreement with Mocara, as im sure any honorable player would be. Ugene, sounds like you admitted you cheated therefore, you should be in the Hall of Shame.
I played you once Ugene, and do not recall the outcome of our game But now i certainly wonder about the game.
Yes, it is very LAME!

TO MOCARA and IRON
Hehehe...we never played a game, the game you mentioned you played with Mox1cA_deMuerte. He told me that you had some problems with the outcome of the game, but I don't know if he cheated.
I already admitted that I was lame, and believe me, I feel bad about it, but that didn't happend in a game with you...
Iron_mlh, the same answer goes to you too. There are lots of muertes in toh, you could have played with anyone. I don't remember a game with you...Well, I guess I deserve to be placed in the Hall Of Shame, I know I have wronged my opponents in those games, but I hate to be accused by you and Mocara of things that I did not do, and I will not apologize to you for mistakes done by other players, even if they are my friends.

Behind ugene here. He admitted it by free will, so need to punish him now. Takes a man to admitt afterwards.
I did a bad thing against Rychenroller once. He and I were playing for KoR-tourney and I lost game 1, because I ran outa time. I was just splitting up my army and time ran out and Rych killed me.
I was kinda pissed, so the next game I 1st-day-rushed the sjit outa him.
But he's an Ozzie, so that don't really count. U can do anything against an Ozzie and it's still not cheating
