The screens of HOMM V actually look like a buffed up WoW... I play WoW as well, Kargath server (PvE) level 40 Tauren Warrior - Minotauros. I've been playing for about a month now and its good times (esp with the guys at work).

Can someone clarify. Ves original post here only says that a new H3/H4 season will be starting June, but what about after that?
Will ToH stop supporting H3 in the near future or do we still have many seasons to go?

Upcoming Season
Hey Dodd, the site can support two versions, so when H5 comes out H5 would be one of them, the question is, would there be an H4 or H3 one? Probably H3, since there is more activity there.
But its too long into the future to tell, what the main focus is that once this new h3/h4 season starts, it will not end until H5 goes gold.

You mean Ves that you you can only support 2 tournaments right. Because we also have WoG, which would make 3, but of cousre it is a separate tourney run by the WoG team outside of ToH.
So i suppose if H4 did go then something similar would happen and its fans in here would continue to play elswhere. If H4 did go as a tourny would it still have a place on the boards here as does WoG?
Hope its ok to ask.

I must say Heroes V looks much more enjoyble than I belived it would. This is a game I am not so patienly waiting for. After being away from Heroes for almost 2 years now( playing that is) and playing it again, the game is totally awsome, and I am so thankful Ubisoft is keep this beloved treasure alive.

To be true - i dont give a straker how it looks.
the only fact im inrterested is how much fun it is playing.
so a question came to my mind.
Toh is undoubtable the league with the longest life - so dont you think that the game programmers would be interested in having somd long time multiplayers veterans beta testing ?
this would prolly prevent any total disaster like homm 4 was.
i think both sides (community + programmers ) would greatly benefit from such a "multiplayer pro betatesting"
well i would gladly volunteer

Good to hear from you Testershaaf. Does this mean we could see you return to ToH with renewed interest.
If so i am sure there are many here that would welcome you back.
I must say though that from what i have read that ToH while being the most successful Homm tourny from the beginning has not had the most input as far as this Homm5 project is concerned although it has had its fair share. So i don't know if Ubi would welcome such a union.
Perhaps this is something that Ves and others can clarify.

The facts are, playtesting is being done in-house, by Ubisoft team members. I can only wish that they would care to have some extreme veterans like Zud and such playtest their game, but it won't be happening. It would definitely help.
The way I see it, it will be in the patches later after release where there will be more input on balance fixes/changes.

carebear
I've been playing WoW also, since release, on the Warsong PvP server. Its definitely been good times and a fresh experience from my 2.5 years in Dark Age of Camelot, but these games have no end and PvP in WOW atm is dull. Im neither excited about their upcoming PvP zones or PvE dungeons. My guild on the server is PvP oriented so we usually miss out on all the PvE expansions/add-ons. I will be handing my 2 WoW accounts over to my cousins... or if anyone i know from TOH wants to try out WoW, let me know.
Im very excited about Heroes 5 and will make a return to Heroes 3 in a few weeks. Im hoping to extract a few players from my WoW guild to play Heroes 3 while we all wait for the H5 release or the promising MMORPG Vanguard: Saga of Heroes. Anything funded by Microsoft have talent and loads of gaming goodness behind it, im sure.
Ubisoft, on the other hand, may have a hit or miss release come Spring of 2006. Im eager to see H5 establish itself as king of the turn-based strategy genre. Its definitely a small market compared to other 'puter gaming genres but [thx to TOH and it's fanatics] H5 should bring in some new/fresh fanboiz/competition.
