how McDonald's has changed my life

Soooo, since the new thing is McDonalds and the over the counter forum is now "how McD has changed your life", here is my story:

Well, McDonalds has changed my life in many ways. I used to be a young kid with no life and no friends, nothing to do all day, just going to school and getting bullied. I was the typical nerd with the tape on my glasses and all.

The Ronald came into my life. Here in Ottawa, we have the Ronald Caboose and I met plenty of nice young friends of my age when I went there. We played games, got to know each other and made friends! I used to spend entire week-ends in that caboose and play with my McDonalds friends. They where all a bunch of kids like me with no friends so it was great to get to meet someone who shares your view of life.

I would not be who I am today if were not for good old Ron. God bless him. He made me realize I wasn't alone and made me the person I am today. Today I'm still part of the Ronald McDonalds fun club and volunteer at hospitals for the young kids who don't get to go outide or meet any friends. I also coordinate new recruits in the Ronald club and make sure they feel welcome.

Ronald, I wish to thank you for the life you have given me, if not for all the other young kids without any friends. May you enlighten the life of many more kids in the years to come.

Thank you Conan for that.
When I have time I'll post my story.
I think this calls for one of those little red star bonus things that the moderators use.

generally Asmodean and I will wait to see the activity of a new thread before applying a bonus - but I do agree this one has great potential so far

I hate to play devils advocate (and this is not a slam of mcD's in anyway but....

Conan,
you have to reserve those cabooses...
therefor those wonderful new people you were playing with were most likely bought off by your folks or possibly family invited to your B-day party!!!

so you should thank them for giving your folks a change and a place to make their son feel welcome.
