Improved eagle eye skill.
I suggest this skill allows the heroes who have it to learn spells not only in the battle they are fighting. They must learn spells cast in a battle or an adventure spell cast in a radius around the hero(enemy hero cast lightning bolt in a battle near your hero and u have a chance to learn it, also you may learn town portal that way).BUT you can see the spell only if there are not mountains forests or other high obstacles between your hero and the enemy. Also this skill may allow you to see the exact number of wandering and enemy hero's creatures.
What do you think???

Good Idea
i think that this is a good idea! but then there should be another skill which could be learned which is more for the 'brute' style people e.g knights who arent very good at learning spells.

Good ideas. I'm surprised anyone mentioned anything about eagle eye other than get rid of it. As the skill stands now its pretty much a dreadful thing to get stuck with. I think if Eagle Eye is to remain in game it needs to be improved also. I'm thinking you should be able to learn any spells cast on the map. I also think the percentage has to be raised also. It's just not a useful skill the way it is now.

Great, I totally agree with you guys. It was useless till now.
What about this: With expert eagle eye you get more gold from treasure chests (like learning did with exp.).
Keep up the good work guys...

Hmmm...
I agree, except...I think the game designers actually put in some weaker skills so you would have the feeling of dread come on from time to time. Its interesting trying to avoid some really bad skills. With so many useful skills now it is almost nice to have some really useless ones.

I actually think one very simple thing which would make eagle eye much more useful (altough perhaps not quite a good skill) is if it worked immediately. If every time your enemy cast lightning bolt at you, you had a chance of immediately learning the spell and being able to cast it in that current fight it would be much better. As it stands now, the requirement that you have to actualy wait til the end of the battle, and actualy win the battle, makes it much less useful. In a sense it only helps if you are already winning. And then it probably still doesn't.

Yeah, it could be a good one, but I dont like it. In that way it would be too good skill. Why not wait till the end of battle and then try to use it. If it would be like that, than where are some not soo good skills? NO not soo good skills!!!!!! Well I think that secondary skills should be divided in categories, not all of them beefed up.
The idea to find more gold in treasure chests is good, but this one, no...
Just my opinion, what other heroes think?

Not so good skills.
Not so good skills are not needed because in H3 everyone wants to have all magic schools, so he tries to evade other skills to save slots, so not so good skills are not needed, yet there are some like diplomacy, intelligence and learning.

I disagree
The reason you get skills is that they can help you in one way or another. One skill may be bad in one case but in other it is very important.Navigation is a useless skill on land maps but it's good on water maps.I never choose to learn fire if offered when i play vs necropolis.
What i am trying to say is that ALL skills must be good and you must choose the one you need. It's ugly when someone beats you because his hero has the "good" skills.I don't want win-the-game skills or spells.

Eagle eye
Why not make eagle eye - like this - if YOU beat the hero - and you have EXPERT eagle eye - you can REVEAL that portion of the map - which he was going around (and also - when he was recruited by some previous FLAGS). Like taking his maps or something like this - but he must CAPTURE the hero.
By this EAGLE eye is good skill when MAP is still FOGGED.

Secondary Skills
The eagle eye skill in HMM3 is rotten to the bone (I guess we all agree on that one.) Those of us who have played HMM2, know that it was even worse back then. What if eagle eye became a desireable skill for magic heroes? How about this...
Basic eagle eye: 100% chance to learn a spell, 1-3 level, when it is cast by an opponent. No map revealing
Advanced eagle eye: 100% chance to learn a spell, 1-4 level, when cast by an opponent. Castle where hero was hired revealed.
Expert eagle eye: 100% chance to learn a spell, 1-4 level, when cast by an opponent. If hero is defeated, i.e. he doesn't flee or surrender, all spells up to level 4 known by that hero is learned. Entire explored area revealed.
It could also work without the map revealing. What do you think?

Spy skill
Or hero can have "interrogation" (ala Metal Gear Solid!!) ability and when he captures another hero he can ask him - what he knows about his KING.
By doing this - you'll not want to run your scout heroes without any reason - because if they got caught they'll be interrogated and they'll tell to enemy about you.
But if the hero has good LEADERSHIP and if it's caught - it may resist the interrogation...
Oh.. it got too Metal Gear Solidish here...
But there can be made some way to stop wandering/scouting heroes.

This can be a new skill
But i don't think you will choose this skill for your "main" hero.
As for the eagle eye:
1.basic - +1 line of sight, see number of wandering creatures, learn 1,2 level spells in battle and spells cast around the hero.
2.advanced - +1 line of sight, see number of craetures in enemy hero and wandering,1,2,3 level spells learned.
3.expert - +1 line of sight,see number of hero's creatures,wandering creatures and town defence,learn to 4th level spells
4.master - +2 line of sight,works as visions,learn 5th level spells.
