Poll Question: Heroes 3 Artificial Intelligence Help
I like the artificial intelligence of the homm 3 because this always is agressive, in any difficulty level, but i like to try that the different difficulty levels of AI fight against them, but i dont know how to do this because in the interface of selection in the game, only i can choose a difficulty level for all the AI players. Somebody know how to do this????, for example editing the maps in the Map Editor, i dont know how to do this.

I dont think its possible.....basicly u would be asking the game to run a map at 2 different difficulties simultaneously.
Correct me if I misunderstand what ur asking.

Sounds a lot like Heroes 1, where you could set the different AIs individually as genius all the way to dumb. They seemed to drop that option by the second game, though.
I have to admit the game AI was funny, like when I was watching the comps send hero after hero into the Dragon stack in the Dragon Pass scenario. It was so ridiculous that I just had to laugh and enjoy it.
I've played those H3 maps where I am allied with an AI, and it might just be me, but the allied AI plays a bit lousier than the enemies. The main hero is almost always lost after the first game month. But then again, who doesn't call the allied AI cruddy?

Sounds interresting.....not exactly fair for the AI but humorous. I never played heroes 1 or 2 so I don't really know what it was like excepts for what I can gather based on knowing heroes 3.

well there might be a way:when selecring the initial options you have an option regarding one's handicap. On 130% it works like this:with no handicap you start with 15k gold, 7 of each resource and 15 wood&ore;with a mild handicap you start with 12750 gold, 5 of all resources, and 12 wood&ore; with a severe handicap you start with 10500 gold, 4 of all resources and 10 wood and ore.Unfortunately these options are available only in multiplayer games, but in such a game you have for exemple 2 human players and 2 computers it will work also. You can set a handicap, both to a human player and to a computer. In single player mode, the option doesn't exist. The computer already plays at it's best at 130%, the only differnce between that and higher dificulties is the starting resources.

to be honest i haven't, Angelito, but since you asked i made some tests
withmild handicap=village halls gives 425 gold/day,town hall 850/day, city hall 1700/day and capitol gives 3400 gold each day.So 15% less than usual for each. Also for the gold mine who gives 850 gold/day instead of the usual 1000.Wood&ore mines give 1 each day instead of 2 and the other mines give nuthin
with severe handicap production for village/town/city hall, capitol and gold mines is reduced by 30% so 350/700/1400/2800/700 income from those.Wood&ore also give 1 each day and other resource mines give also nada.
External dwaells and castle army roduction isn't affected by handicap.

There is a way. You can set your computer opponent to be "Builder", instead of "Explorer", "Warrior" or random. AI seems to be really dumb in this mode.
The problem is the AI might turn into something else day 1 even if you had set its behaviour in the editor.
