Heroes V videos
Just posted a news item on ToH, with the Heroes V videos, I had just seen them now and was blown away by the visual quality. Very impressive.
http://www.jesabele.com/5adventure.zip
Adventure map: You can scroll across the map, zoom in and out, and rotate the map. Everything is beautifully animated, and all looks familiar
http://www.jesabele.com/5battle.zip
Battle Screen: Looks just like what we are used to, but in 3D, the animations are incredible, and everything seems to come to life. Wow... the spellcasting!!!
http://www.jesabele.com/5haventown.zip
Haven Town: The whole town is rendered in 3D, you can scroll around, see every corner. It almost looks real, or something out of Lord of the Rings...
http://www.jesabele.com/5tour.zip
Demo Video: A compilation of many scenes, a sort of 'Demo Tour' video for advertising. The game looks almost finished... playtesting & balancing next?

Pretty impressive, Def looks like a game where you will need more then 4 time limit .
Yes we all come for more when it comes to the Aussie ..
Serious note it looks pretty awesome so far with great graphics on the land & in the Castle,Battles look more strategic which is on my field .
I look forward to it.

Thanks for the links, Vesuvius!
I just hope that I will have a new laptop by the time the game is released so that I have the "raw power" to run such a fine looking game!

If the game is released without any strange problems like 3D0's H4, I can see this game being extremely successful. Forget all the returning veterans, but the swarms of new generation players. It means a tremendous spike in activity in ToH, and back to the days when Divisions and subtournaments really had significance.

one advice for some:
you'd better start practicing right (i am reffering to eternal students like balcough and...errr...ehmmm, well, i guess hes the only one left who's still in that demi-noobish stage of Heroes saga ) in order to have a the slightest chance against my thirst for incoming title. THO if theyll release H5 mid 2006 u havent much time left to train enough, even if u play 8h/day and ill sleep all that time
didnt see yet the new stuff post , but i couldnt resist to express my joy seeing that the game is finally taking a shape which we could see it.
i know ive been practically inexinstent lately , but u should know that ill be back for sure, even to play with h3'ers if they finally woke up. . So u can judge for urself how much i expect and love that game by the sacrifice that ill make (read above )
have a nice day

from what i've read on game play they have borrowed a lot from H3. Fine by me. That means I need to set aside 24 solid months of my life to play it

hope so, I honestly think after so many years supporting these games, ToH ( Ves and volunteers...soundthe charge!!! ) really deserve it. Still and always will be the best heroes tourney.
And btw, gday Tim, Jim and Steve

wb Midnight !
I have them videos downloaded as well. The graphics is mighty impressive and cool. One thing struck me as curious though ...
on the last link video(the one called 5tour) they have like a short presentation of the game. One comment there caught my attention. It said "active time battle sistem".I wonder what could that mean?In the battle video we could all see that the action is speed based as with all Heroes series.

They are refearing about the "fast mode" totally optional... just like final fantasy games... with a time bar for each unit when this bar filled up, the unit can move... but the other units didn't wait until you move, if his bars are filled up they can move... something like that

Game looks great, my biggest concern is the system requirements. Gonna be kinda pissed if I gotta buy a 3d vid card to play the damn thing. Keep tryin to tell myself I bought this comp for school and not games I'm working at Best Buy now, so I get a killer discount on stuff, but still don't want to rip computer apart to play a game.
Any word on the requirements?

2.2 ghz system with a 3D video card is strongly recommended. But regards to the 3d cards, its all too common now, and can be bought for as low as $49 for something that would have been $300 two years ago.
