Needless to say, there were other things going on behind the scenes that led to that exchange between the two of us. I'll be more than happy to discuss it privately with you. We all know or should know that an internet message board is not the appropriate place to air real hurts and grievances.
I've made several promises to finish this story that I've long since broken. The track record speaks for itself and until I get my head out of my arse and sit down and write, there won't be anymore progress to this or other things that are percolating in my brain.
And no, I wouldn't boot you. You're my friend, and friends remain friends while ex-lovers drift off into the oblivion of my memories.
On a sidenote, I never told you that I edited my story about my trip to Denver to see you and submitted it for a creative writing class. While reading some of my passages, the instructor furrowed his brow as if he wasn't sure what to make of the narrative. At the end, he said, "The narrator is unreliable and unsympathetic." I replied to myself, "I know. Ain't it great?"

ROFL Gootch. How little he knows. I think he kinda missed the whole point. That's his mistake as your tongue-in-cheek style should have been apparent to any observant professor of prose.
