Morrowind
Does any one here have morrowind. I think its a really good game, even though i can only play it for about 10 minutes before i get a nausea feeling (that happens to me in a lot of first person games) but its still a good game.
so anyone got it?

Morrowind is inferior to its predecessor, Daggerfall. Still a good game, just a shame that it wasn't better.

Try PacMan. No, really, try it. It does have an ending. The original one at least. AFAIK there's only one person in the world that managed to reach the highest score possible.

Well I'm a long time elder scrolls player. I started with Arena and played right through, Daggerfall, Morrowind, and Oblivion.
They all have their pluses and minuses.
Unfortunately, I get pretty sick of them pretty fast. I found Oblivion very boring and easy. Morrowind was slow and even with a level 20 + I found my self starting new characters. There's plenty to do but after you've done some things, it all seems kind of samey. Daggerfall was very unfinished and had lots of bugs and unimplemented features so while it had cool dungeons there wasn't much else. Arena is a pretty solid title but lacks the stuff to do that morrowind and oblivion have. Age gap and all.
So I've had fun with the series but find myself preferring fallout/pstorment/wizardry.

You guys are missing the point. I don't care about the combat difficulty. It's plenty challenging and I don't mind much the leveling system etc.
My point is that the quests aren't fun and don't require any thought.
When you read what the quest IS it tells you exactly what to DO. And for an "open ended" game I had little choice about what to do. For example there was a quest where I figured out that 'sheep' were villagers, but I had no choice but to kill them because the game wouldn't let me do anything else.
Or you get a quest to look for someone...and your journal pops open and says you should look for EXACT NAME in this EXACT PLACE...with a compass pointer in case you missed it.

Well, Phoenix, what can I say, every gamer is different, I guess. I like Oblivion exactly for the reasons you dislike it. I am not a big fan of playing a game where you need to spend 5 hours to realize that you need to find a needle in a haystack while the quest tells you nothing about having to find it. Usually in those kinds of games you either get pissed and quit, or you end up playing with a game guide on your knees or in your internet browser, which pretty much kills the game.

Sure enough everyone is different.
I'm an adventure gamer. I spent two months stuck on a puzzle in Syberia 2...and finally figured it out and then finished the rest of the game in a day. As you say a walkthrough ruins the point of playing (in most cases).
As far as gothic goes I have gothic 2 to play through. I started it but my attention got distracted by other things. It's on the list though. Not too happy about the performance reports of gothic 3 either.

My first character was a badass nord who smacked things till they stopped moving with anything he coul get his hands on, and kept getting reminded by the inhabitants of towns that wearing clothes is the norm'.
Second character was a far more indepth atronach dark elf, who regained mana by bashing his ancestral spirit. Still in progress though.

I looooove Elder Scrolls.
I started my ES3 Morrowind game in 2008 and am still playing it today!
2008-2011 I played the main game talking to EVERY character and exploring EVERY single cave, castle dwelling etc cleaning them out (I used the google map style Morriwnd map at uesp wiki find all the caves), and obviously finish every quest.
I made the murder victim’s mansion in Balmora my home and used his large storage area and his body (infinity storage on permanent dead bodies) to store all my quest items and loot I didn't sell.
I got rather bored of the endless dungeon crawling as the years went by so I put all my gold to good use and begun decorating my mansion. I covered the entire outside in flaming torches making it look like a giant flaming fortress that you can see from the other side of town lol. I’ve been filling the inside with blue and red candles and lanterns creating some really freaky looking rooms. This made dungeon crawling fun again as it became all about finding more coloured lights and freaky decorations for the mansion. It’s a friggin nightclub in there these days hahahaha!
2011-2012 I played and completed the Tribunal addon completing every quest and clearing out all areas.
Next is the Bloodmoon addon!
As the years go by that I continue to stretch out Morrowind, I keep holding off playing ES4 Oblivion and instead keep adding new freaky mods to the game making it better and better and more realistic (eg crash & speed fixers, high rez texture packs, long distance objects, lights & smoking chimneys at night, better food+sun+signs+water, cats in villages + birds and insects in the sky, mannequins and capes, windows you can see through, and a full interface overhaul with a Morrowind style minimap and lists) resulting in it looking even better than ES5 Skyrim with some things!
And as the years go by playing a far better version of Oblivion I’ll be doing the same trick with Skyrim.
Ridiculous I know.. but to me Elder Scrolls isn’t ‘the next RPG to play’.. it’s another life I lead lol.
